last time i got pulled over it was by a guy who was in a big white suburban who didn't even have a siren. he just had his high beams flashing at me, and kept turning on his signal for me to move before 5 regular patrol cars showed up and i realized i was supposed to get off. :\

 

p.s.

the detector can--theoretically--pick up on signals, even if they aren't beaming it right at you

theyre only halfway useful imo. if a cop uses a radar gun the first and last youll know about it is it registering full, then you getting pulled over. good for avoiding fixed speed cameras though.

Um dude they wouldnt be using their fucking radar/lasers if they're PACING YOU...they match your speed and look at their spedometer.

 

 

And Jedi you should look into getting a police scanner....because alot of times when they do that they'll radio in your plates :D its fun to listen to that shit. Oh and it'll also help you keep ear our for the pursuit cars.

 

And yes you have a very good point...Once I caught on to police headlight profiles I almost completely stopped getting pulled over. But the problem I have is at night when I pass or have a civilian impala behind me it scares the shit outta me cuz it always happens when Im flying. I HATE CIVILIANS WHO DRIVE THE SAME CARS AS THE FUZZ

lol my friend has a crown vic.. but not just the crown vic.. he has a police interceptor.. He buys them at the police auctions for $3000 and sells them for $5000. Its a regulation for the cars to be sold at 100,000 miles or 2 years.. whatever comes first.

awesome stuff; I've always wanted to get a vic for this reason, and plus they are pretty comfortable cars to cruise around in. On another note I've seen police trucks here too, those are sneaky bastards. Also a tip for avoiding the po9; know where the police stations are in your area, and when your near 'em don't speed... cops coming and going from them frequently means cops will most likely be around the stations area frequently.

I have caught countless fuckers trying to sneek up on my ass to pace my car to see how fast I am going, but I manage to let off the throtle and if necessary use the pull handle e-brake to slow car without letting on that I saw them.

That is exactly what i do. i use my ebrake a lot so people dont see the break lights. Also, i agree with you that radar detectors dont prevent cops from seeing you speeding in the first place. But some radar detectors go off when they are near police cars, just because they are there.
