I just turned 21 a few days ago, and my friends and I went to a bar and I had a few beers, not much to drink because I had work in the morning. Anyways we all went in my car and I drove off then this cop comes from no where and pulls me over for an out headlight. Anyways he smells alcohol on my breath makes me do all these tests (which I passed) then he had me do a breathalizer and I blew a .08 which is the limit so now I have a DUI. If I blew .07 I would have been free to go. Now I'm fucked I'm thinking about getting an attorney but their fucken $3000 for the cheapest and I have no money and no one seems to want to give me a laon.

Stop your bitching I would pay to be in your shoes. I got a DWI when I was 16. I blew a .21, but they cut me a deal and said if i plead guilty they would drop my wreckless driving, and tobacco charges while giving me a 4th degree DWI. Im now 17 and cant get my license back until next August still. The fucking law in Minnesota is if you get a DWI if your under the age of 18 then you automatically lose your license until your 18, and they make you attend all of these bullshit classes. Ive forked over a shitload of money already and I still have to pay my $700 just to get my license back.

 

Ill break down the fines I have recieved to date.

 

$700- Court fee and the DWI itself

$120- Alcohol Assessment

$25- MADD driver impact panel

$300- DWI Clinic/Classes

$700-Drivers license when I turn 18 (Reinstatement)

$5,000+ In extra insurance
