They should have stayed with the classical two handed controller. NES FTW. The great thing about the new controller is that you can turn it on its side and use it like an old fashioned NES controller. I think the new controller will make playing FPS's on consoles a fresh new experiance, making it a much faster game, and the such. Just think about all the posibilities of having a point and click built into your controller instead of having the buy a light-gun (Who buys those anyways) Its going to make menu selecting and all sorts of other interface functions so much easier. Shit, even the game boy advance SP still is backwords compatable for all game boy games (as far as I can recall). Shit, the original Xbox nearly died because of games that were worse that most dreamcast games, had a controller that was larger than even the dreamcast's, and was too pricy. It got lucky... Hopefully the 360 will die out, as it's release was really a failure, considering there was a rather large bug in the system. I'm pretty sure nintendo gave you some of your fondest memories. If it does come out at 99$ that'd be a great price, the system is backwards compatible with all GC games, and will have the entire backlog of Nintendo games available (NES, SNES, and N64).
