Posted December 7, 200519 yr hi guys, just curious, has anyone used Sat' Broadband? I've been trying out diff methods of getting connected to the net, Bluetooth, GPRS. I'll try out 3G whenever I get round to it. Anyone suggest a decent modem for the Sat'? I've got a Sat' sorted, Just need some infot a recommened Modem (Connector for CAT5 too Sat connection?) I know it's not the most stable connection and tracking the actuall satellite with the disk can be hard but, I still wanna try it. thanks...
December 7, 200519 yr first, get cable internet, second, sattellite broadband, as retarted and crappy as it is, is far better than that 3G dial up. As all 3G does is go out and cache pages, its not actual broadband. Dial up is dial-up, and it cant get any faster. I dont have any experience with sattelite, but Im pretty sure it must be like cable. Get a router, plug it into your sattelite modem. It should be DHCP, but like I said, I have never used it. Try talking to your provider perhaps? duh?
