December 13, 200519 yr I doubt they could bring any charges against you. If their server was in the UK, they'd have to charge you in the UK. I doubt they're going to send you to the UK. What they can do, is sue you. They'd have to quantify how much damage you did in dollars, which would be extremely hard to do. And, assuming they did take this route, your lawyer could simply say there were others doing the exact same thing. I'm not sure if that law that states that a person/entity can selectivly sue anyone involved for all damages applys here.

I like this guy best post EVER from someone so new to the g0t forums. anyway, thing is... you are a bit wrong when it comes to changing your IP, not all ISPs give you an IP address you have for the life of your account. with mine, I have a dynamic (DHCP) IP address that can be changed by simple introducing a new MAC address to my modem (change NIC card in my router/server does this fine as I have boxes full) reboot my modem, refresh my LAN nameserver, and Im good to go with a new IP. takes about 2 minutes (with installation of a new NIC).
