Posted December 13, 200519 yr Hey, im having trouble installing these skins - whenever I go into the game, I get a message saying something about the server needing something for the skin to work, and it says models/weapons/modelnamehere.mdl It then exits me out, and I have to shut off CS. Any idea whats going on?
December 13, 200519 yr The server has enabled model consistancy. That means if your world model of a weapon/player/etc is diffrent than the origional ones that came with CS then you are not allowed to play on the server.
December 13, 200519 yr i got some RED & BLUE skins from [valve] aimbot i put them in Valve\Steam\SteamApps\*playername*\counter-strike source\cstrike\materials\models\player no files were replaced they seems to have worked on all servers so far 2 questions are skins targeted by VAC? is 'model consistancy' often left disabled on servers? http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/8930/hl220051212175119646dy.jpg
