Ok

i might buy one of these eventually - but which one do you reckon?

im not into the games on Psp - i just want the Mp3 player

If i was to get a PsP can you buy loads of memory sticks for it so e.g. you can have loads and loads of films without memory ever becoming 'full'

PsP -

Bigger screen

Movies

Memory Stick

iPod -

smaller in length

smaller in width

lighter im guessing

Very easy to use

So i was just wandering - the PsP sounds pretty good as you could download movies so if you went on a long journey you could have something to watch - but looking at info about it - it seems you gotta buy it? and cant just use downloaded films? and it depends how easy it is to use also, as the iPod has all the menus set perfectly

what do you reckon is better?

neither, for waching movies.

i wouldnt want to wach a movie on a small screen that smaller than my hand...

that would probably fuck up my eyes.

Neither.

iPod is over priced, over hyped, and over marketed. It's a portable device for playing compressed music. Not a fucking fashion statement.

The PSP, while I like sony, seems flimsy as hell.

third option.

creative zen micro. i have it and it's very functional. has crashed about 4 times but just turn off then back on and you're set. talking to a few friends with ipods they've either needed it replaced or it crashes every other day.

My 2 friends with zen micros both needed to send theirs back because the hard drive completly buggered up. I know lots more people with Ipods and haven't heard of a problem yet. My Ipod has never crashed and I've had it for years.

I'd probally say a PSP, I have a Ipod, and there is consistent problems, along with everyone I know that has one also has problems, and yes their way over priced. Plus with PSP you can do so much more with.

PSP

much more versatile... game, movies, and music. And with your stick you can expand it even further ( I think g0d was talking about other system emulators... etc)

I have a ipod, and while I've not had much trouble with it... I'd rather have the PSP. Breakout and Solitare on the ipod can only entertain so much....

ipod = does one thing, shittily

psp = does many things, can be hacked to do even more things, can play pirated games/media, not as expensive

duhhhhhhhh

psp > ipod

psp is rwnage

BUT MAKE SURE YOU GET GTA: LCS OR THE GAMES ARE NOT WORTH IT

Ipod, because their sort of oldish now, so when you see someone with an Ipod you don't really think much of it. But if you pull out a psp to listen to some stuff, you got four or five douchebags who want to get all over your nuts about it.

"OHHHH MAN, IS THAT A PSP?!?!?!"

psp dude get soccom you can play online and chat with a mic too but you ahve to buy the mic :*(
iPods are for ***s and posers

You want a psp the end.

or peeople who like alot of music in one simple portable device...thats like saying "EVERYONE WITH A DISCMAN IS A *** AND A POSER!"

I have a PSP and I love it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't play VBR wma's, which is what my whole music library is. You have to use sonicstage to convert it to ATRAC3, which isn't all that bad cuz ATRAC3 is still better than MP3.

Isn't there a new iTunes-like program from sony for the PSP out now?

Ive been reading on diffeerent places where the general view is to get iPod

but this site is more towards PSP - i am thinking if they both do the same thing but pSP does more - like games and videos then why not get psp?? i wouldnt use the videos much only on a long journey or something but it would still be good to have it

just is it a pain in the ass to use - can you easily put music onto it and playlists, albums etc like the easy to use iPod??

Get a PSP.

Even though I only have a 512 Memory Stick PRO Duo, it does more than needed. Plays my MP3s, vids and games. As well, since I have 2.0, I've recently expanded my PSP to save Addresses and Phone numbers, read textbooks, and play SNES, Genesis, and Gameboy games with a few emulators. As well, I've added a calculator and some other snazzy stuff to make it school-friendly using the LUA Player (used as an excuse to have out in school during teaching hours, and it worked) And when the PSP-OSS Shell is released, I'll be putting that on as well. As well, I'll be buying a few 2 GB PRO Duo sticks to expand the memory even more. Plus, if you f**k up your PSP like bricking it, you could just get it replaced for free if you got the warranty and a good excuse.

...I doubt Ipods can do half of that. Plus I've heard of people having to replace them for battery problems or HDD problems.

So, if you just want ample space fast (which I doubt you'll ever fill) get an Ipod. Otherwise stick with a PSP and just buy more memory sticks.

BTW, my PSP teaches me Japanese. Can your IPODs do that?

I have a PSP and an Ipod.

I only really like the PSP for its games, tbh.

But if you dont wanna BUY movies for it, i would go with iPod Movie. They aren't THAT much, and theyre great because you can just download movies and put them onto it.

Yeh Ipod has become a fashion statement as was said its for playing fucking music...

anyway yeh PSP > Ipod

Neither.

It's a portable device for playing compressed music. Not a fucking fashion statement.

BIG FUCKING .

I'm going to try and get a video iPod because the fact of watching movies in class on my ipod sound fucking sweet. A psp would just be too big and noticable.
