Posted January 7, 200421 yr Okay so I was going through pr0n sites the other day and with it came many pop ups. But I also seem to have been haxzored because now my home page has changed. I checked for viruses and actually found some on my system. Not sure if any of those had anything do with the changing of Internet Explorer's home page. I did get rid of the viruses though. I keep changing the home page to my preffered one, but it still keeps going back to the haxed home page after a while. What the fawk!!11 How do I fix this?

January 7, 200421 yr use a spyware remover like adaware, pestpatrol or spysweeper. and the next time you get an activex popup, read it or do what i do, click no. even better, uninstall ie and outlook express and install something else like firebird or opera and eudora. not only will you possibly avoid shit like this in the future, you'll be reducing the amout of security holes in your system by getting rid of the two main causes of exploits.

January 7, 200421 yr Author Well i've tried some spy removing software and that seems to have fixed the homepage problem but I still have some stupid problems where i cant open movie files like avi or mpg from a direct link. They come out being corrupted. This goes for all files even zip files.I have to SAVE AS to download anything. And if I try to save a picture, it only lets me save as a bmp file. January 7, 200421 yr I just finished fixing the exact problem you have. I went to http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp and scanned all my shite. After scanning, click on the Virus/Trojan type and it will tell you exactly how to get rid of it in the REGISTRY. I found 4 Troj/Viruses in my HD today. And one of them was the changing of your hompage like you have. I have a folder on my F: drive called Trojans....I now have 34 of those fuckers in it.
January 7, 200421 yr You seriously need to run some sort of anti-virus if you have that big of a problem with viruses and trojans. I suggest nod32. http://www.nod32.com/download/download.htm Get a crack from cracks.am Just make sure you edit all the settings, scanning archives isnt enabled by default.

January 8, 200421 yr get zapro and tell it to default disable java, javascript, and activex block all ads except for me i dont block animation block 3rd party cookies, disable web bugs, remove private header info if u need to enable something for a site and u know its safe u can set per site options as well plus za is nice to stop outgoing connections and for incoming i got za and my router plus google toolbar w00t u cant touch dis :dancenaug
