Posted January 6, 200619 yr Is 55 C ok for an amd athlon 64 3700+ @ 2.7 ghz under load? Im not really sure how hot these things can get before serious damage is caused and they start to melt/watever.

It was at 54 for most of the time but i think i remember some bloke saying as long as it doesnt go over 60 its k. right now as i type its at about 39 and... Oh dear 12:39! January 6, 200619 yr mine runs at 30 C Your's runs at 30 C while its IDLE As to Schizophrenic's question, 55 Celsius is well within AMD's maximum recommended temperature and should be safe, but I've always kept my OC temps at 50C or below...
