Ok, iv had this problem with my router ever since i got it. basically, at complete random timing, my internet will fuck up, and i wont be able to connect to anything. but, im still able to do things on what i am connected to. so like, i could be on xfire or msn and this shit will happen, ill still be able to talk on xfire or msn, but wont be able to connect to anything, and if i get off msn or xfire or anything im connected to, i wont be able to get back on.

to solve this problem i usually reset my modem and router (unplug one minute and plug back in) but that gets really fucking old, cause i have to do it like 3 times a day. Im using comcast as my isp and a linksys router. yes it is wireless but that shouldnt matter cause both the hard wired ccomputer and the wireless do this, and at the same time.

it sounds like its blocking ports, but, why? anyone with a linksys router have this happen to them as well? i have a friend that said that it does this and he has a linksys, so maybe its just the faulty router brand. other people say its the wiring and it gets too hot and makes my router do messed up shit, but they werent certain.

Oh, I have had the same problem, I dont no how i fixed it, It must be something with your USB port, How much power it sucks down and shit, F8 on start up and look at your USB settings and make shure your not using alot of power with it.
i get the same problems. i just decided to stop using my router and only use 1 computer for internet. stupid linksys.
it can happen to any brand of router i used to have a linksys but now i have a netgear. many people think that your internet gets to throttled, and some thing happens in the routers software is screwed up.

There I talked to customer support, and they dont have a fucking clue, look at the bullshit they threw at me:

Dear Kyle,

Thank you for contacting Linksys Technical Support.

You can open the necessary ports on the Port Forwarding page under the Application and Gaming tab on the router webpage. You need to set a static IP address on the computer so it will be recognized by the router.

Also, disable any firewall or anti-virus application installed on the computer.

You may follow the steps on http://www.linksys.com/kb then Search by Answer ID 688 on how to setup port forwarding on a Linksys Router and 534 how do I setup a static IP address that will work with my router?

You can check the necessary ports from the game developer or application so you can open it on the router's firewall.

For further information and configuration on the device, you can go to our website http://www.linksys.com and download the user guide to know the features and requirements.

If you have any further questions, feel free to visit our Knowledge Base at http://www.linksys.com/kb/ or send us an e-mail at [email protected] so that we can assist you.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Sincerely,
