February 13, 200619 yr Has to be fake. Google as explicitly said that they are not going to dive into the OS arena anytime soon (if at all) for public release. I found this out after cracking some jokes at the thought of Google coming out with an OS after it released Google talk, destop search, and G-Earth (or whatever). EDIT: After 30 seconds of research, I came across a couple sources saying that Goobuntu is, indeed, fake. However, this is not true. Goobuntu is a distro for Google Employee's ONLY and wouldn't work unless you are on Google's Network. So all of you Google nerds that are praising the next computer monopoly just because they're the underdog can stop getting your hopes up about creaming your pants over your new Dell with Goobuntu. However, Dell will be preinstalling Mac OSX ix86 on their machines.

February 16, 200619 yr omfg. It's not fake. Did you guys not read what I said? It's been confirmed that Google is indeed creating the Goobuntu OS, but only for Google employees. It will not operate on any network other than their own, according to Google.
February 16, 200619 yr Tbh lets face it linux is fucking shit anyway with windows - you put a game in, voila it installs , voila you play it you put in a dvd, voila you watch dvd you want to write a letter or something, voila in microsoft word so why would you use some heap of shit linux, doesnt have anything useful on it - cant do fuck all with it - looks horrible, handles horrible and is just generally shit seriously, how linux got 10 million users i do not know - i n fact its probably just ppl who dont like microsoft However - this just shows that evn with bill gatyes as richest man in the world - no company has the devine right to be in business - when one student, in his spare time, can write a OS that gets 10 million users. thats microsofts biggest worry - not what there is, their worries are what there isnt yet, the fear of the unknown - what if theres another guy out there, writing an even better OS anyway..........windows ftw - altho i still think google should look into it
