yeah i always find myself clicking links in threads wihout checking and once the page comes up i'll be like 'why the hell did i go here again?'

No as there is nowhere near enough space. Just installing Xbox Live put me at 11gb out of the available 20. Actually in-game saves take up far less space, obviously.

holy fucking shit! What does Xbox live consist of? And what else was on the harddrive prior to that?

It's not just Live. When you buy the premium edition, you get about 13 gigs of free space. Some of those 7 GB goes lost in formatting, the rest is used for game cache, so the games can run faster (which will be important for releases like Oblivion, just not for things like Fifa, as they're shit and don't need cache anyway). System updates take up some of that space too. What you're left with is 13 gigs that can be used to store downloadable content, demos, video, music, etc. Your Live account isn't stored on the Hard Drive, as you can create and save Live accounts without a Hard Drive or even a Memory Card.

Either way, 13 gig is not nearly enough, as Final Fantasy XI takes up about 2 of them.

Also the emulation software for the working XboX1 software is stored on the HD.

Without the HD, playing origional XboX games is impossible.

I wouldn't be surprised if some young company out there creates a 200-500 gig HD for 360.

Here's something to think of though. 360 is compatible and capable to be hooked to your computer using Windows Media.

If there was a way to program the 360 into running software other than music and movies from your actual computer, just imagine running something like an ISO.

This way you could DL game ISO's and play them off your computer HD on your 360.

I'm definately keeping my eye on this.

Color your pc green with crayola crayons, and put a big x with 360 on it. You now have an xbox360.
No You Currently Can Not. If you have any questions about the X360 ask me, I am a genious at that shit.

Why do your posts always suck and digress from the topic of the thread?

Wait for a while, I'm sure there will be mod chips out for it soon enough. They just need to get some serious nerd power into the project.
