February 20, 200619 yr Author I used to be really big into grind and gore, but it got boring. Now I'm a lot more into Black Metal, bands like Xasthur, Leviathan, Darkthrone, Deathspell Omega, Watain etc... and the awesome Death Metal of Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Death, Immolation etc... But now it's becoming a fad to listen to death/grind. Good to see a bunch of g0ts listening to some good music though, better than this nu-metal/emo ***otry. I wouldn't say None So Vile is grind, it just have heavier vocals than most DM bands. the band certainly isn't but phobophile, slit your guts, and crown of horns from None So Vile are definately grind songs. as far as playing black metal, i love behemoth. idk if that's close enough to black metal but it'll definately be on my playlist tonight.

Speaking of Phobophile, my band covers that. Behemoth used to be black metal, but are now blackened death. I saw them once with Nile, great show. Seeing em again with Morbid Angel/Krisiun in April.

I love Behexen, and Blut Aus Nord and my dad bought me a Celtic Frost concert tape not too long ago. <3 it took a while for me to get into raw black like behexen but now i love it Behemoth used to be black metal, but are now blackened death. imo 2 latest albums were pure death.

February 21, 200619 yr <3 it took a while for me to get into raw black like behexen but now i love it Me too, Xasthur, is my current fav. band, I've been digging alot of USBM lately. But Beherit practically invented raw black metal, check em out.

Mr. Bungle ftw as far as experimental music. i fucking love their self titled. and i'm hoping to see behemoth with morbid angel in poughkeepsie whenever they get there. it's quite the drive but definately worth it.

The Locust are great. Between the Buried and Me is great and very original, but they have way too many emo *** fans. I'm going to be at that Morbid Angel show in Poughkeepsie. Cryptopsy/Immolation/Exodus is also gonna be the same month, so I'm probably going to both shows.

February 21, 200619 yr I've been waiting like 2 years too see Necro. Suffocation was the best concert I have seen in my life though, if it wasn't for them, the death metal scene would suck so bad. 75% of DM bands have stolen atleast 1 Suffocation riff.

Xasthur owns, so does Grand Belial's Key. lots of great USBM out there these days. I dont enjoy beherits new ambient albums but their old bm stuff i love
