PETA aren't exactly God's Disciples though, a huge percentage of sick, neglected animals they take in are put down, even when they can easily be treated. It's pure laziness on their part. PETA try to intervene in other countries because animal skinning takes place IN OTHER countries, it's very rare for it to happen in America or Europe, there is only a small business in southern America. The thing that I don't understand with skinning, is that if it really IS necessary at times, why they can't use the standard 'put-down' injection to kill them beforehand.

Sure the little guy is in excruciating pain and all, but it won't remember that pain it went through. Your mom will end up buying it's fur for some scarf or something. There are dead animals all around you, in your food, on your clothes, and furniture. It's natural selection my friends, fine and simple survival of the fittest. If the poor little guy can't get away, then he gets cut up. If you wouldn't have seen the video, you wouldn't give a shit about how things are killed. They hang dogs upside down, and beat them with baseball bats to death in Korea, just so the meat tastes better. Had you not known that before, you wouldn't care about all the dogs hung up and beaten to death. In a billion years the racoons will the ones skinning us. Until then, deal with it.
February 21, 200619 yr they dont use lethal injections or shit like that because that would cost money and why bother when you're a mindless drone who's only after money and the animal will be dead in 10 minutes anyway. in my opinion the most humane thing they could do is get a knife (not exactly hard to acquire even in china) and slit it's throat but to them slamming the racoon on the floor is a bit of entertainment and it helps them get their job done. even in more civilized countries like spain animal cruelty is a form of entertainment (see: bullfighting) and this isn't going to change in the near future. to everybody in this thread, yes it's wrong but get the fuck over it and shut up, if it really means that much to you then go on a personal crusade but i won't be joining you. /discussion
