I was getting out of a car with my friend, when I saw on the wall directly in front of me "BLACK POWER RULES! White bitches are my whores!". I found it more than a little offensive, and took my whiteboard marker out of my pocket, and wrote "FUCK YOU" over top of it. I got spotted on security camera- guess what, the guard who reported me was black. Didn't he see the person who wrote the blackpower comments? Or did he forget to report it? Anyway, I wwent to the station, and when the charges were read out to me, they were defacing council property and inciting racial hatred. WTF???? I don't give a shit about the property charge, I can handle that, but ME charged with "inciting racial hatred" for THAT??? I ran a community group for a while. I helped foreign tourists meet locals and learn English. It was a great way to bone foreign pussy. The rent for the premises was given to the local church in the form of donations, as they owned the place. They couldn't officially charge rent, so requested donations of 1/3rd the gross income instead. I collected several hundred dollars worth of reciepts dated after the incident, and when it came time for court I showed them to the judge. I explained that I'd felt so guilty I'd donated money to a church who provides the local homeless with free meals and clothing. She let me off. I'm still fucked off though. If I'd argued it, then it would have been a case that required my employer being notified (because they are a school). I would have lost my job, and career. This is a case of me not being able to stand up for my rights without losing everything I have. It's fucking bullshit, and it needs to stop. Good on those kids. I hope many more such instances occur, until we get TRULY equal rights. Then maybe the world will be a fairer place and racism claims will reduce.

I have had a taste. I live here in S.E. Georgia and while there is racism, man it is so sweet. I go to McDonalds and they hand me the change and smile at me, not throw it at me and cut there eyes like it was my fault it hit the ground. Race is very little an issue unlike Shreveport, La where I come from. Never go there, especially to live. As far as taste of other things... Life can be good. People can come and back you up and help you out. But you can not be the type known to be an asshole. They say nice guys finish last. Heh. I never, ever had to worry about a place to put my head growing up and had at least 3-5 mom's at any point. I can go to my church and say this person NEEDS this and it WILL be found.
