February 28, 200619 yr Why dont you like phpbb? It is probably one of the most commonly used. vbulletin like this site uses is another commonly used one. If you get into the smaller forum software, you arent going to have very good support/hacks for it.

March 1, 200619 yr vBulletin isn't free. It needs to be licensed at a cost of over $100 per year. However, yu can crack it but I'm not sure if that could be detected.
