March 16, 200619 yr Ok guitar is easy to play, you just have to practice. Ive been playing for about 2 years, and im already better then people who have been playing for 5 years, just because i practice more then them. Now a days, its hard to get a guitar that will last because the wood they use to make the guitars now suck, I have a Godin, or its gaudin, i forget but its really good, my guitar teacher, told me that this guitar is made with the proper wood, so it should last a long time. Also the one i have are one of the higher better guitars that godin makes. I think the type i have is Seagull, also i only got it for 450 CDN wich is a good price! LMAO AT THINKING 250 CDN WILL GET A YOU A 'GOOD' GUITAR, 250 will get you a fucking ploayable guitar that will last until the wood rots away hundreds of years later nub. And who the fuck doesn't know the brand of their fucking guitar, its godin nub THIS THREAD IS FULL OF GUITAR NUBS
March 16, 200619 yr I started playing bass about 5 years ago. It's boring to me now because I usually play with other people and no one gives a shit about the bass, When I play alone i like it but with other people all you are is like a second drummer keeping the beat. hmm... well there are numerous big bands that do pay alot of attention to their bassplayer.. take Pink Floyd for instance.. Roger Water fuckin pwnz.
March 16, 200619 yr Thread starter unless your serious about playing, and dedicating a serious amount of your time to even get decent, i'll ask, what type of music do you want to play? And if your only doing this as a...every now and then hobby, i would highly suggest simply getting a decent acoustic or electric guitar for aroun 300 USD. If your serious, i would recommend you getting a job, because in the end you will most likely have spent in and/or around 3-4 grand on amps, guitars, processors, and miking equipment.

Wow, you pretty much repeated what all of us said. For someone who plays guitar, you shouldn't be such an asshole. I guess you are one of those kids, that thinks they know everything and is such a dick because they are so "wise". As a musician and guitarist, I have the responsability to provide all the information I know to help others, not to bring them down. I have never told anyone they sucked, I only told them what to improve on. Anyways, Your bullshiting about the 3-4 grand on guitar equipment. My friend who is a fantastic musician has only spent 1,000 on a custom carvin and a 300 on a amp. He needs nothing more...
March 16, 200619 yr If you want some advice, i'd say don't take advice from anyone. For a cheap guitar thats gonna do some good buy something along the lines of a parker or an ibanez. and that stuff about guitar taking a long time to learn is a bunch of bullshit. i've only been playing guitar a year and i'm already getting into yngwie malmsteen and joe satriani its all about wether or not you give a shit about guitar or you just want people to see you play guitar. I never got any advice on guitar i learned how to tune it by trying to play along with led zeppelin songs all day and listened to as much of anything to do with guitar as i possibly could and looked up tabs on the internet. So stop going around and asking people what to do and just start doing it.
March 16, 200619 yr stop fucking trying man. paragraph of pointless crap Hypocrite. By the way, I'm better than you.

March 16, 200619 yr If you want a cheap one, get a Squier. They arent THAT bad.... If you care about tone and playability to any degree whatsoever then you will not suggest buying a Squier.
March 17, 200619 yr If you care about tone and playability to any degree whatsoever then you will not suggest buying a Squier. Yah on half of em, the frets aren't leveld so you end up having to get the frets dressed, usually costing half as much as what you payed for the entire guitar for. My first guitar was the lowest end ibanez on the market, the GAX30, and that thing was a very good beginners guitar, it had perfectly even frets, the action was set up correctly, and the tuners and bridge kept in tune. The pickups and bolt on neck were the only things not to hot about it
