March 15, 200619 yr Signed by Eric Sardinas and Steve Vai. I got him to sign a bunch of my shit and the guitar technician let me play all his guitars on stage and he gave me a bunch of his old strings from the show before. Really fucking cool guys! I chilled with the whole band on stage for awhile. Eric Sardinas is real badass slide guitarist too. Edit: A gay picture I made of my guitar. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/Audio32/Myguitar.jpg You are like that kid in elamentary school that had everything and knew everything and met everyone. Except you aren't a liar.
March 15, 200619 yr Each to his or her own. ... This is a biased comment Not true' date=' no instruments ever get boring because as long as you play you are always getting better at it.[/quote'] TRY NOT TO RUIN YOUR CREDIBILITY AND LOOK STUPID ALL IN ONE POST. You attempt to tell people not to use difinitive terms regarding topics and saying it's just an opinion and it's a biased one at that, and THEN you go and present a complete opinion as truth. You wouldn't think that someone could just get bored of an insturment? I've become bored with a few, for the plain fact that I just didn't enjoy the potential and primary role of said insturment. Now if you're going to spend so much time replying, next time try to use the same train of thought through the whole thing, and try not to look like a fool you fat chickenfingered fuck.
March 15, 200619 yr Not true, no instruments ever get boring because as long as you play you are always getting better at it. And your argument about lack of people who care about bass is poor. I am in 2 bands where my bass skills are well appreciated and I know of several people who are looking for a good bass player to form a band, the problem is not enough people are taking it up and playing it to a level that is good enough and part of the problem is people who just think it's a poor man's guitar. . Yeh, cept I never liked bass much to begin with. I don't feel like commiting to a band, playing somethiing I am bored with and don't like all that much. And the people I jam with are mainly metal, even though im not, and they dont give a shit about bass.

Nice try, maybe next time when you realise you are a failure at life and fail at insulting people on the internet you'll be able to find a fault in my post.
March 15, 200619 yr It depends on the kind of music you want to play. I'm more into metal, and the B.C. Rich Warlock is a really good beginner guitar. It has everything you want from tone, to weight. It's really light, and has a great sound. Good for playing all your happy metal songs. =)
March 15, 200619 yr gibson les pauls rock. whoever said they didn't obviously never tried one for more than five minutes.
March 15, 200619 yr Beautiful guitar audiostarr. I fucking envy you. I started playing bass about 5 years ago. It's boring to me now because I usually play with other people and no one gives a shit about the bass, When I play alone i like it but with other people all you are is like a second drummer keeping the beat. Qft. Bass gets boring and forgotten in most cases, and in some even inaudiable, unless playing stuff like rhcp because they, being a funk rock band wouldnt be so cool without their nice and pronounced bass player (Flea). You said you get what you pay for but then again until you move to higher end stuff you can buy a good guitar + amp for £200-300 or less even but there are plenty of piles of shit out there for the same price. Just don't walk around your high school or whatever going "hey i'm cool cause i can leik play guitar" like some people i knew. And they were shit at it and they kept bragging like homos. Yea, theres always ***s like that, but then again, braggers are always the worst players. But then again, if i didnt enjoy playing and tried to learn just to brag, id be pretty shit or just stop all together. Hoodenhen, personally i havent tried an ibanez, however my friends who have them have either kickass amps or their ibanezes just sound good. I dislike les paul because a guy i know made them sound fantastic and he got one, which turned out to be shit, but who knows, maybe it was just his fault, or maybe im being too judgemental. btw, i love acoustic myself even though i havent got one. If youre on a low budget then get an acoustic, they sound great. I suppose I prefer my elec to an acoustic but then again thats why i could just get an acoustic pedal.
March 15, 200619 yr Thanks ^Bio^. See, I started on my sisters Epiphone Les Paul Custom which was pretty good and I still have it. I never bought a guitar. I saved up and played my Les Paul until I had enough for the Jem. It really is a beautiful guitar, and a wonderful play. But I reliezed soon after I bought it, That it's not MY guitar. It's Steve Vai's guitar. I didn't relize until a few months after that I wanted a guitar to reprensent my playing. So I'm saving up for a Gibson. No one really has a trademark on those. You could say Jimmy Page, or anyone else, but it doesn't say there name on the headstock. You dig? Well anyways, To everyone in this thread. Don't fight over it. As someone said earlier, TO each his own. If you think that what you think, then believe it, but don't try to force others to believe. I have my own opinions and as a guitarist for 6 years, I think my opinion might be worth listening too. Not bragging though. Edit: A comment on Les Pauls. They have ALOT of them. Meaning, MANY different kinds. You need to find one that fits you if you want a Les Paul. Hell, I played some Les Pauls that we're not my likeing, so they "sucked" as you would say. The one that fits me is the Gibson Les Paul with a 60's neck. I can't play a Les Paul with a '50s neck. (50's and 60's meaning the decade.) The BOTTOM LINE: You have 4 apples. 3 of them are rotton and one is perfect. They are ALL apples, but some won't taste good. One is perfect for you though. Dig?
March 15, 200619 yr Yeh Bio, funk is the only genre I still play on the bass because that is where it is apreciated.
March 15, 200619 yr Failed, I didn't present an opinion, I presented a fact. People can dislike an instrument as much as they like but it is not fair to say an instrument is boring, a lot of people disagree. Nice try, maybe next time when you realise you are a failure at life and fail at insulting people on the internet you'll be able to find a fault in my post. You did it again. Seriously, stop fucking trying man. "I didn't present an opinion", soon followed by "alot of people disagree". 'Alot of people' equals opinion, majority opinion yes, but still opinion, fact would be 'everyone'. I was just trying to point out that you tried to sound above everyone and tell them to stop posting their opinion as fact, and you go and do it yourself. It's ok though, i'm guessing everytime you post a reply you have no clue what your talking about due to the euphoria you're feeling from gnawing on a box of twinkies.

Rich are shitty ass guitars. the quality is shit unless you pay alot and get the NJ Series. I've had my Platinum Beast for almost 2 years and the tone is just fucking horrible. There's no "presence"(this had nothing to do with the mids so stfu). What i mean by this is that no matter how you play with the settings on your amp, the sound never really changes. It just sounds like every other B.C. Rich. But if you are willing to pay that much for the NJ series then good for you. Besides all that, they look like shit. theyre overly designed guitars that look cool probably to the same people that shop at hot topic. The best advice you could recieve is probably just to go into a sam ash/guitar center and try a bunch of different guitars...or buy some cheap acoustic and take lessons. http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/9546/brnzwrlkbkx6000ff.jpg
March 15, 200619 yr Yeh Bio, funk is the only genre I still play on the bass because that is where it is apreciated. Some Rock bands had the bass pumping. Listen to Foghat's "Slowride". Holy Hell, the bass part during the chorus makes me want to order a bass a learn it. It's such a funky beat. But yes, Funk is where the bass is most appreciated. What kinda bass do you have? I'm interested in ordering one in the near future.
March 15, 200619 yr If you'd like to hear some music where bass is still heavily appreciated, or at least a good song, check out Necrophagist - Only Ash Remains. Brilliant bass. Alot of faster death metal bands have alot of bass used in their songs, and it's fairly prominant.
March 16, 200619 yr do it just to rage cobalt <3 Don't get me wrong nothing wrong with bragging really, IF your good at playing guitar. But people i knew were shit. They acted as if they were better than Jimi Hendrix was.

March 16, 200619 yr Yes I'm an exception to myg0t. I might be one of the only people that have friends outside of the internet! can you believe it!!>! You're still not funny.
March 16, 200619 yr Are the Jackson Dinky series guitars any good? yeah theyre not bad at all. you might want to change the pickups tho if you're going to play metal. not that you have to. the EMG-HZ's are pretty decent too. i got the jackson dkmgt. if you've got the money, get the SL1 soloist haha
March 16, 200619 yr Ibanez doesn't suck if you go for a high end model. Gibson Les Pauls are good IF youre willing to pay $2000 for a good standard because their quality control is utter shit. Don't get a Squire unless you're not sure that you'll stick to playing guitar. Don't dish out a shitload of money on a good guitar and buy a $0.02 amp. Amps are where a lot of your tone comes from and you'll regret not getting a good one (I'd recommend a Vox AD15(or 30)VT but if you wanna play metal you'd get a better sound from a Roland Cube 15(or 30)). If you really want a Les Paul a great choice for a lot less money than a Gibson would be Agile (http://www.rondomusic.com). Otherwise, you can try eBay or a pawn shop (you can get AMAZING deals in a pawn shop). This is all, of course, if you decide to go electric. Like someone before mentioned, Learning on acoustic will help you in the long run so it'd be a better choice to go that route. I know absolutely nothing about acoustics, but I'd recommend you just go to a shop and try out some of them (see how they feel, etc.). If you don't know how to play, which I doubt you do, just ask one of the douches in the shop to play something for you. All that being said, if you do decide to buy a guitar, some good sites with tabs are http://www.freelicks.com and http://www.ultimate-guitar.com. BTW, get lessons if you can.
