.com.com very unreliable

?

what?

Interesting though, although it dosen't affect me in any way and I could care less, it shows good potential for DELL's further growth in the market, namely AMD side, and that they're on the right track as far as furthering their buisness goes.

i dont see why they would..

they have that new XPS line and it sure seemd like that was supposed to go up against the alienware systems....

:thinker:

Dell I hate for three reasons.

1. They rip off whoever buys their computers.

2. They use P4's

3. Those fucking commercials with that douchebag college student. DUDE GET A FUKIN DELL DUDE DUDE BABE CHIK SURF

Cheap piece of shit wants to buy out an over priced piece of shit ... w00t . I am giving up alcohol for good .

I think he was the dooche type...

This may help dell out or hurt alienware... I definitely don't see it going the other way around.

They will go together well.

Overpriced PCs for people too lazy or not technically aware enough to build their own.

Now they can target the underage wannabe haxor with their fancy cases as well as the family and business markets with their POS Intel systems.

Honestly what's with all the Intel rage? Pentium 4 is dead, it sucks; we can agree on that. The forthcoming Conroe should beat AMDs AM2 offerings, which while not saying all that much, is better than what AMD offers.

For the last few years if you want a good laptop with a good battery life and good TDP, Pentium M based models were about the best you can do. Yes there are several Turion based laptops, but to be honest I have only seen a few. Add to that Turion does not have dual core, and though they should start appearing in the future, the benefit from going Turion just doesn't seem to be there.

To be honest, I dislike Dell for their misleading marketing and their questionable customer service, but they do make good deals. If that means having to make scummy, and possibly illegal deals, with Intel, well that's a choice they've chosen to take.

However, buying Alienware is not about their computers, it's about their image. Alienware as a company is nothing more than an image. Their customer service is beyond terrible, their support policies are jokes, and their actual products are extremely overpriced. Despite this, they have the reputation of being THAT company that just has the best computers, reality or not.

This also just gives Dell a way of selling AMD chips, while not having to put their name on it. Gateway did a similar thing with e-machines, but in reality, the profit from selling maybe a few thousand AMD chips is not that great. This is just a way for Dell to re-enter the "enthusiast" pc market with more power.

As for "furthering their market" Dell sells more processors in America than AMD sells in America. Dell owns the American market, and the only area that really demands AMD processors are enthusiasts, and to some extent the server market (though much less so than the enthusiasts). Getting AMD is a fringe benefit, nothing more.

You must leave these forums immediately . You speak/type too coherantly !

When wish to post on these forums you need to misspell , misquote and insert ***g0t into every other sentence.

And for goodness sakes refrain from using punctuation !!!!

ok... repeat after me:

i r will not use good spelling or proper punctuaction anymore

k

and since dell and alienware both suck. i dont care

Hhahaha, that's funny. Microsoft will one day own Dell, StarBucks, McDonalds, The New York Yankees, the Statue of Liberty, etc.
that guy got busted for possession of the trees

i heard about that

i thought it was trees and drunk

Dell buys Alienware?

Not an issue for me; Boxes of crap for people too stupid to know how to use them vs. Overpriced boxes for people too stupid to find the parts for themselves.

So, the end result will be Overpriced boxes of crap for people too stupid to either know how to use them or know what they're made of -

and you know people are going to buy them.
