Posted March 17, 200619 yr Lodi, CA - Curtis Gokey a city employee has filed a law suit against the city of Lodi for damages to his car. One small problem, Gokey caused the accident himself backing a dump truck into his own car. Gokey is seeking $3,600 in damages. He has also admitted to causing the accident. The city denied his claim because you cannot sue yourself. Gokey has decide to file a new claim but in his wife's name. City Attorney Steve Schwabauer says, "You can sue your spouse for divorce, but you can't sue your spouse for negligence."
