Posted March 20, 200619 yr nVidia has been hard at work developing their latest innovations; First of all, putting two 7800GTX-512's onto one PCB, allowing quad-sli configurations (4 7800GTX processors, 2 total GB of VRAM). Second of all, to accompany the first, nVidia has developed a method to offload physics computations directly to the GPU, taking strain off the processor and providing up to a 10x increase in FPS. Yes, it looks like ATI is still in sucktown compared to the truely superior graphics card manufacturer, nVidia.
March 20, 200619 yr OMFG... excuse me while I jerk off to those pictures and specs... DUDE DAT'S HAWT!!
March 20, 200619 yr at the beginning of this year i started saving money i'll save money till 2007 and buy all the newest stuff so everyone can suck my balls -.-

Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this?
March 20, 200619 yr This is another reason why im happy i got a geforce 6600 256 instead of an ati card or the piece of shit made by ati that i had.
March 20, 200619 yr hmm...7800GTX sli ready about 500$ american give or take abit.... 500x4=2000$ + since its the newest thing it will be even more. Congratu-fucking-lations to whoever pays that much for a graphics card(s).
March 20, 200619 yr Who here actually plans to buy a quad sli setup? Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this? Time machine back 10 years: Who here actually plans to buy a Intel with more than 500mhz? Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this?
March 21, 200619 yr I'd just like to point out that using an AMD processor with this setup will cause system haults because it uses 64 megahurtz calculations. Intel is the solution for such a monster computing machine.
March 21, 200619 yr i think that the only two double proc cards that are being made right now are the evga one that was shown and an Asus card which is does not necessarily have two indiviudal cards buitl in one as shown in the dell but has two procs in the card that are for the 7800 GTX. This card only supports 512 mb ram thouhg, instead of 1 gb.
March 21, 200619 yr NWA']Time machine back 10 years: Who here actually plans to buy a Intel with more than 500mhz? Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this? What a stupid comparison. I'm not saying that this amount of speed is bad or wrong, I'm saying this amount of hardware is stupid and pointless. Do I have a problem with the physics engine? No. Do I have a problem with quad sli, with barely any benefit, other than a lighter checkbook? Yes. SLI isn't new, 3DFX was using it before they were bought out by Nvidia. Relaunching an extremely expensive idea for minor gains is stupid. A better comparison would be: who actually plans to buy 2x Opteron 265s for gaming? Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this?
March 21, 200619 yr so can english class k? Corrected: So can English class, k? Nividia blows. Everyone like's Nividia because you all want to be conformist and worship some lame "PRO" counter-strike player. ATI for life.
March 21, 200619 yr Corrected: Nividia blows. Everyone like's Nividia because you all want to be conformist and worship some lame "PRO" counter-strike player. ATI for life. I didn't say I was a perfect speller, you just spelt Nvidia wrong.
March 21, 200619 yr I didn't say I was a perfect speller, you just spelt Nvidia wrong. Dont worry, this is just a forum troll, dont pay attention to him :)

Who here needs more than 256mb of RAM? Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this?
March 21, 200619 yr NWA']You're a lot dumber than I thought. Who here needs more than 256mb of RAM? Who here actually knows anyone who will buy this? What the fuck are you talking about? Are you incapable of reading? I say: 4 cards is a waste because its 2000 dollars for a maybe 40% boost in performance. Again the wasted money is why it's stupid, not the performance. I have no problem with any set amount of performance, but when it comes down to it costing a ridiculous amount of money, I find it silly. In summary, if you can't figure it out. I like a 40% gain in performance: I don't see the point in releasing a 4 card set to do it. Nvidia sees it as a way to get more money from the geek with a massive wallet group. Again: I like performance. I just don't like exponential price increases to get said performance. If you don't understand look at what the price structures have become today. A ti4600 brand new was 400 dollars. Top of the line card for it's time. Today you would need to spend well over 2000 dollars on video cards to get the 'top of the line' performance. This is ridiculous. That is what I am saying is silly.
March 21, 200619 yr Corrected: Nividia blows. Everyone like's Nividia because you all want to be conformist and worship some lame "PRO" counter-strike player. ATI for life. ATI has been shit for a couple years now and it looks like someone is mad that he is still stuck with his shitty video card ='( No one in their right mind would actually buy this right now (unless you had a truckload of cash to blow, even then I could find better things to spend money on). Especially since it recently came out, which means that there are probably a few bugs and compatibility issues with it yet. It's good to see they are still advancing at a fast rate, where as ATI is still lagging behind and probably will release a copy-cat much later.
March 21, 200619 yr ATI needs to burn in hell with thier piece of shit GPUs, i have hated them before they were in the video game gpu market. 3dfx 4 life man.....
March 21, 200619 yr Thats tight and all to have the SUPER KING KAMA TO THE MAX x100 COMPUTER, but having 4 video cards is fucking stupid. The things are fucking long as hell, and they probably generate a shitload of heat. Plus they are all like right next to each other, so one video card is going to be blowing heat to the other card and so on. Just wait like 6 months, and they will have some new Nvidia 9000GTX that will be the same as all 4 of those.
March 21, 200619 yr fuck quad and dual setups... waste of good case space and would only be good for heating my bedroom to 200 degrees. wait until directx10 is released and we probly get smaller cards due to improved manufacturing proccess and dual/quadcore GPUs with better performace per watt.
