In this case marketing is causing consumers to act irrationally, and the fact that people are taking irrational action to be acceptable is my complaint. My complaint isn't with the supply, it's with irrational demand. As for the 1.13 costing more than the 1ghz. They are made on the same wafer. They are fabbed the exact same way. There is no extra production to it. The clock speed is a 'blue crystal' in that it costs the company nothing to implement, it just adds value to the product.

A single individual has no market power, where as in an oligopoly or MC, whatever you want to call this situation, the firms have a fairly significant amount of market power.
