I know its sorta old news, but didn't see it posted on here. I'v been playing it for the last couple of days its actually pretty cool. A lot better than my old mmorpg (maplestory :gaykeke: )

I know it says its free for 15 days it's actually just totally free. The expansion pack Rise of Chaos is only for 15 days but the game is still awsome. The PvP is amazing.

I'm on world/server "Wrath".

Rofl @ pic. No thanks, i play WoW, and am still having fun playing it. Shadowbane just looks like a cheap rip off of WoW's taurens.

I couldnt have said it better, this game is just another cheap knock-off like Knight Online with shitty quallity, RAwR get WoW and Lurn2Plai

So many rpgs have been made to try and match WoW and other hits, but they forget that WoW is quite unique, their cheap copies just try and adapt qualities and fail miserably.

To the people saying that Shadowbane(and other MMO's) are a ripoff of WoW:

Check the release date for Shadowbane. It was released over a year before WoW was.

Also, WoW isn't very original itself, it takes alot from MMO's like EQ and DAoC but simplifies them to the point where the game appeals to all, not just the hardcore

No it doesnt, it takes the history from all the Warcraft games, Warcraft 1 (though im not sure) must have been created atleast back in the mid-ninetys, way before this shadowbane bullshit. WoW is an original and a landmark in the future of MMORPG's. Guild Wars is ok, but not as good as WoW, Guild Wars may be a little advanced on the visual side, but all the towns and hostile lands are instanced. WoW is the biggest MMO in the world and will continue to be, I played GW and switched to WoW because like alot of other people i saw how small minded and budget'd it was because AreaNet hasnt had any previous releases, unlike blizzard, which had produced one the benchmarks of myg0t and hacking, Diablo. Hacks wouldnt be as reknowned as they are now if it wasnt for Diablo. And take Age of Empires, Warcraft was the first " control the army " game before AoE. Blizzard can out-do all these half ass MMO companies with the snap of a finger.

gg talking about the warcraft franchise as a whole, rather than just WoW.

And WoW is only landmark in that it's a MMO for the masses. It appeals to all people in that you can log on with only 30 minutes to play and actually get something done. Most other MMO's are not like this. Plus the free content, which Blizz offers alot of. I'm not disagreeing that WoW is the most popular of the MMO's, but if you had actually played earlier MMO's(which you haven't)then you'd know that WoW is more of the same.

Also the fact that you even mentioned Guild Wars as an mmo says something. Since it isn't an MMO. At all.

Yea I agree Guild Wars sucks bawls, its right not to classify it as an MMO

WoW has its own history etc and for alot of people who own previous blizzard games WoW appeals alot more because it relates to the past releases. I personally have played every warcraft game in existance, including leader of the clans.

If you like MMORPGS, try eve online, there's a free trial on gamershell.com

It's got mature players, looks excellent, even for a 2 years old game

I think the 2 hours trial just to get the basics filters the 12 years old off

WoW is hardly based on Warcraft. The only similarities are a few classes are a little similar. But If WoW actually had some of the same things as Warcraft did, I might play it.

They have more than just a few classes for similaritys, but how can you take such a small (in comparison) game and strech that little material into the huge game of WoW? They had to add 90% new stuff because they're 2 completely different size (and style) games.

PS: You should try it if you haven't yet, you might like it...even if it's only for a few days.

I'm sure I would like it, but I don't want to get addicted to it like most people do, so I avoid it.

Theres a lot to WoW thats in warcraft, but there isnt enough content in warcraft appart from its history to put into it. WoW is huge, and i mean fucking massive in terms of size and content. Theres a lot of funny shit too, like the black chicken of death. Somethin the other day that made me laugh was in warcraft 3 theres a boy called timmy that you save, and later on hes caught and turned into an undead but is frienly cus you saved him, and hes in WoW aswell, as a rare hostile which my raid bumped into in stratholme (instance). What i also think is great is scattered all over WoW is books on warcraft's history, theres tonnes of books.

I like how they threw in some Diablo II references like "Wirts Third Leg" in too :p
