The Bookclub Info Post has been updated with some of our recent awards in the fine art of bookclubbing.

We have worked hard and read our way to the top. You could say that we wasted our time spending hundreds of hours just sitting around and imagining that we're in realistic human situations that we can only hope and dream that they will become part of our own lives. Yes you could say that indeed. But it is untrue. Why do we read books? Because we strive to be at the top? Because we saw the cover and must know how it ends up? Because we have nothing better to do? No! Because we love books and we love to read! Whether it be Calvin and Hobbes, whether it be Walden, whether it be the Beatenstein Bears, whether it be Julius Ceasar, or whether it be War and Peace, we will always be at the top! We are the great mountain climbers of reading! Who will colleges accept: a reader or a nonreader? The reader! The reader always wins! And that is why we have won these four lovely awards. Thank you all! You have my respect!

:grin1: :wavey:

Any book is a good book as long as it can provide many hours of self-contained pleasure.

Im not saying there arent other good books, Im just saying this is probably the only one Im compelled to buy. Maybe one by George Carlin too.

The two (by far) best books ever are:

The Da Vinci Code

Angels & Demons

Both by Dan Brown

They both make you think... especially The Da Vinci Code.

I dont usually read books that make me think. IMO the only books worth reading are:

Books on How-Tos that arent gay

Most concerned with programming

Books that can actually make you laugh.

edit: i dont like "trollism" soo...i read all kinds of novels and alots of guides(mechanics LOL)

Sex, Thugs and Rock and Roll by Billy Thorpe.

A biography of Billy Thorpe, Australian 50's rock legend and child star.

Funny book. THought it would be shit, but I'm halfway through and have enjoyed every page.

Stephen King's Bachman Books is a good one too.

It's funny how few people read books these days. Reading helps keep your brain working and your literacy up. The mroe you read, the better your literacy gets.

And no, the internet doesn't count. Any illiterate fuck can make a web-page full of errors and shitty opinions without a proof-reader fixing all the fuck-ups.

I just finished this book, it was very well written and relates to my stage in life at the moment.

perhaps if you copied it right from his post you would've gotten a result.

George, a book that may be good to read is "Shattering Glass" by Gail Giles. It would apply to many of the users here and maybe they could dream about being Simon, AKA Glass.
