Posted March 31, 200619 yr Hi. I was thinking about buying a new GFX card and I came across this one 512MB PCI-Express x16 NVIDIA® GeForce™ 7900 GTX I have heard very good things about it, but what no one could tell me was, with this card, will I be able to play all current and games soon to be released on max/high settings? Any help would be appreciated.
March 31, 200619 yr Yes its a very amazing card but you might encounter a bottleneck if your CPU is outdated or has low clock speeds.
April 1, 200619 yr cause nividia still hasn't given a release date for its next card but im guessing that it will be when vista is released in January 2007. i think that it might be a waste of money but if you are rich and want to get a card till then then go for it.
April 1, 200619 yr No, why spent all that money when its going to be outdated when DX 10 comes out? Becuase if you buy it from eVGA you can use their step-up program and update your card for a nominal fee.

April 1, 200619 yr Thats perfect. I do recommend reformating your computer after buying a new video card since your computer has been used to a different one. If you dont like that option then just download Driver Cleaner Pro, uninstall your current drivers, reboot into safe mode, run driver cleaner pro with the correct cleaner, reboot back into safe mode, install new drivers, then reboot and your done.
