Whats the standard fps your get on hl2 beta?

On phytown when you blow that big dumpster box down do you get graphical lag, I know this could be from alot of the bugs what are in the programing since its only codeing whats been stolen.

Am just worried since I've just spent £700 on upgradeing.

 

Heres my specs.

 

Crap Hardrive, 17 gb <- Just get another one running inside her

512 ddr ram

gigabyte mother board (nforce 2)

ati radeon 9800 pro

amd 3000+ cpu

and ect, but the rest ain't really important for gaming qaulity.

I got over 100 fps on bugbait, :D If you have ATI card turn vertical sync of and your fps flys high.
i get decent fps and the obvious lag in most high entensity places with my 9600xt but i think when the game actually comes out its gonna be a lot less laggy. its just due to the shitty incomplete programming and shit
Honeslty can't wait for it, just thinking, HL is good but not amazing its the mods what make it amazeing, Counter-strike, and Natural selection for hl2. Would't be surprized if I book 2 weeks of work just to play the first mod what comes out for it, but knowing valve they will probably start us of with a mod, Never know Teamfortress 2 might come out for it, then that explaines why it did't come out last year.

I had the beta a long time ago....i was getting up to 20 fps. Not very impressive.

I got about 20 FPS on my old g4 4600, about 35 with my FX 5700, and about 75 on my current box with the 9800Pro installed.

Hmmm wounder if I got xt, must look... Aye got a XT, how much more power do you think I could get out of it from beening an XT?

I get around the same fps (unless your turn vertical sync off, Properties, Settings, Advanced, 3D tab, Then it will have two menus saying Direct3d, if you use openGL more click the circle button next to it, then click use custom settings then click on custom.

 

Anti aliasing 4X

Anisotropic Filtering 8X

 

Then just turn vertical sync off, I have no idea whyat it does but in hl2 I had 60 fps and now sometimes my fps reachers over 100.

Need help part

 

I pissed about with it, and now I only get 60 fps, and then I found out there was a thing in windows what only lets your fps goto 60 :(

There is a program what can stop that, if any one knows what its called and the link can you please PM me with it or just post it in this thread.

 

If yours does do this try this:

Properties, Settings, Advanced, Display, Monitor, Refresh rate overide. : Disable.
