Wow. Some of you have NO concept of Rock music I guess?

AC/DC yes, was rock...

Led Zeppelin had some rock influence but much more than just that.

Here are some TRUE rock bands..

The Rolling Stones

AC/DC

Chuck Berry

The Guess Who

The Who

It's hard to say "Rock" because their are SO many branches...Like Southern Rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd).

I would say

AC/DC

The Rolling Stones

The Who

Motorhead

Lynyrd Skynyrd

And possibly Pink Floyd.

1) The Who

2) The Rolling Stones

3) CCR

4) Kyuss

5) Queens of the Stoneage

also queen is great too; they would be my 6th.

Phil Collins

Creedence Clearwater Revival

Crosby, Stills, & Nash (& Young)

Cream

Emerson, Lake, & Palmer

Foghat

Hendrix

Johnny Cash

Pink Floyd

Queen

Rush

Styx

Steve Miller Band

Supertramp

ZZ Top

etc...

Five is too few.

Zeppelin is my favorite "rock" band, but they weren't really rock, more like white mans blues-rock.

I hate these lists though can't make up my mind.

So in no perticular order...(5 is not enough)

CCR

Blue Oyster Cult

AC/DC

Iron Maiden

The Who

Rolling Stones

Pink Floyd

Queen

The Kinks

The Beatles (they are too influential not to list)
