Christians have been taught that Jesus was crucified by the hands of judas. What this gospel says is that Jesus told Jusad to crucify him, in other words planning out being crucified. And yes, there is a bunch of different stories in the bible, but they all are along the same lines of jesus' crucifiction was not planned. If this turns out to be true, i doubt it would go in the bible, but it would show that jesus planned the whole thing.

Altho his story of creation does confilct with genesis. Why do you think that christians are christians? Because they were brain washed and scared as shit because they don't want to go to "hell." Religion was created by Neandrathals and possibly even Cro-Magnum (the same thing as Homo sapiens) in order to deal with the loss of a loved one. It has absolutely no useful application in the modern world. Atheistic science is the one true path to enlightenment.

For a start, yes this book has some potentially damaging information, but nothing major, Christianity won't lose any fans just from this, but in the long run and combined with other things it could be damaging. The Da Vinci Code makes good reading if this sort of thing interests you. The Bible was, is and will be for a long time to come, the best selling book in the world. The Torah is a Jewish thing yes, but so is the Old Testament of The Bible, but not the New Testament. The Dead Sea Scrolls have not been 'proven to have been altered'. It's a very confusing situation with regard to books written around that period because influential people with a bias had a large say in what went on in that time period. The books that appear in the bible were not written or selected by God. They were all written by several different individuals and over time several books were dropped due to these influential people. All I'm saying is, don't take what you read for fact. You all already have enough tenacity to insist that Christianity is a lie so I'm sure you can all think for yourself on this issue, or maybe you can't. I don't know or care, it's upto you.

April 7, 200619 yr I do find find it discouraging people preaching that you should read the Da Vinci Code as a decent source for research on the life of Jesus when you speak of anything arguing the bible and the context of it. The Da Vinci Code IS JUST a non-fiction thriller and should not be used as a reference for any argument about christ. I recently read "The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail". I have to say it was an incredibly boring read, but the information contained in it was very well researched. I'd say to read that and make a semi-educated judgement. It draw's a very likely theory of how all of the gospel's contained in the bible have been altered to show what we accept today as the life of Jesus and as such, modern Christianity. Also how Jesus's life more realistically played out and ultimately ended.
