Sure, Saddam was pretty ruthless but at least he maintained order. Sure.....more or less....mostly less.... Even if there was genocide, since when did America have the right to police the world? While the final death toll of Hussein's reign is uncertain, the best estimation is about 400,000-500,000 killed during the war between Iraq and Iran which Suddam initiated and let's not forget Saddam's Nazi-like secret police who have made around 300,000 Iraqis 'dissapear'. That is like saying "well at least Hitler kept things in order" the only reason Saddam "kept things in order" is that he killed who ever openly aposed him. But those were the secondary reasons for invasion at most. The main reason were the WMDs which Saddam claimed to have for the longest time, our intelligence did have evidence of WMDs but they were long gone before the weapons inspectors showed up. It is pretty easy to get rid of a small stock pile of WMDs when you have a fleet of trucks and a train at your disposal. The fact is, it was stupid to try and find them, but, as easy as it would have been to just invade now ask questions later, but we would have gotten more shit for that than what we did. So now there are no WMDs in sight, all of the Iraqis who stood up or would stand up are either dead or worse, and the majority of people in Iraq are either Saddam loyalists or families who are still afraid to speak out against Saddam. It is pretty easy to say America is completely in the wrong, but the fact of the matter is, eventually it will be for the best.

The only reason they hate us now is because we steal their oil, then when they demand we pay for it we start politically and financially punishing them, then we start giving money and weapons to their enemies, and finally we start attacking them and telling them how to live.
