I have an old laptop that has windows 2000, and if i update it to XP, will anything be lost? i have some valuable progs on there for business that cant be fucked with or lost.

depends on wut kind of progrgams... i mean windows 2000 is still the nt version of XP...

so go ahead... make a back up disk... or sumthing..... also mite aswell reformat thats the way i do it to update my comp... tehn get my backup disk and upload everything back on the newly cleaned out comp...

If Windows 2000 is still working propperly and all programs you use are compatible with it (and dont require XP) I'd say stick with 2000 and save yourself alot of trouble.

what i would do is d/l a copy of norton ghost and copy your hd to another hd or make a backup image of it so you can return it to normal if anyhting fucks up. try it, as long as you have a backup your fine.
