Go read the New Yorker, you arrogant, elitist fuck.

lol. Way ahead of you. I just read it this morning. There was an interesting article on the growing independence movements in Polynesia.

Oh. Go read Harper's then?

d3']if your talking about the south i think your wrong, i live there

shes not going to do it this time at least anyway

back to subject or are there no more good arguements for this dumb shit?

not just the south

i live in northern california and there are so many god damn rednecks here

Rednecks are like assholes. You can find them anywhere, and every culture has their own definition of "redneck".

Oh. Go read Harper's then?

Harper's is too liberal for my taste. It doesn't present the other side of the argument, if you know what I mean.

so, regardless of how many terrorist attacks bush may have prevented that we may or may not know about, you're saying bin laden caught him with his pants down? (might i point out the irony in that choice of words?) though, back to the point at hand: clinton is just as responsible for 9/11 with that sort of logic. more than once, foreign governments offered bin laden's head on a silver platter, but clinton refused. after all, bombing aspirin factories is much more important than stopping another world trade center bombing. whoops--remember that particular intelligence blunder? or is it overshadowed by the ones he supposedly prevented? don't make me laugh.

1. Remember when Bush went into Iraq to find WMDs? Whoops-- remember that particular intelligence blunder? It only caused a war with the biggest militarized force in the Middle East, destroyed relations with the Saudi Royal Family(by today it couldn't be better. I hear the buttsecks with Abdullah is awesome), gets Iran off the hook for a good while, now that their nemesis is on hold, and raises gas prices now that 27% of their oil fields are burnt to hell. And rejecting any plan for Reconstruction reccommended, I'd say Bush handled it professionally.

2. The first thing the Clinton administration said to the Bush administration was "You're going to have your hands full with Bin Laden." Bush was too busy going through his wife's purse for toys.

3. Was the amount of terrorist attacks stopped by Bush overshadowed by the massive one(Which by my account, was setup) he let through? Clinton 1, Dubya 0

:sleep2:

4. lol, bush

MAKONG']You only hate us becasue you're just an ugly/fat Brit with no friends (HoodenHen). Our "land" would never be turned into a "Police State." You're an idiot. Even calling our country a possible nuclear wasteland would have been more accurate.

Ok, here's a scenario:

Your country is one of the strongest countries in the world.

Your country sends "a handful" what you would claim to be "degenerates" away overseas.

The "degenerates" with no place to go, form colonies on another continent.

You tax them mercilessly on imported goods, when they get there.

They rebel, and now your powerful country is at war with the "degenerates".

"The degenerates" beat your every attempt at stopping their rebellion.

They form the most powerful country in the world.

Over 100 years later....

Your "leader" is busy on his knees sucking the "degenerate" president's dick because he was owned over 100 years ago by "a handful of people" (your choice of words).

Learn anything? Hopefully. Maybe you'll understand in time that "a handful of people" are much more threatening than you realise. I know you're naive and possibly a little dumber than most, but please keep your comments to yourself.

Hahahahahahah. WRONG!! That is what your stupid country teaches you, how great you are.

The reality is, Great Britain at the time of the rebellion had the majority of its fleet and soldiers gaurding the Caribean. As they were making GB a lot more money than the US was. Yes, they did put up a fight against the rebellion, but they were so much more, and I do mean, SO much more worried about protecting the carribean at the time.

So you think America is free from GB? Have you ever heard of the house of Windsor, you know, the British Roayl Family, yer America, they own the majority of your Federal Reserve. GG, England wins.

You have to remember, political power is used at the start, then once that is exploited, and economic power is their's forever, they hand the power back. South Africa any one? My point exactly.

Every thing the US does is controlled by external countries. You are in massive debt because you pay of debt with more bonds which you can't pay, so you make more bonds, you have been doing that your whole excistance.

Oh yer, over 3000 years in the making, the Chinese economy/family, owns the mojority of capital in all the worlds banks, including yours. GG you loose.

if the UK would pay their fucking war debts they owe to the US instead of pussying out the US would be in a better state of affairs.

But thats beside the point, the UK sucks anyways, see here

wrong on so many points.

USA wasn't in debt until Bush took over and started the dollar onto its decline, its now worth less than the British pound, but before it was worth more.

Reality is your nation was so "powerful" surely it could've put down the insurrection and its massive naval fleet could've defeated a French and Spanish fleet.

I suppose Britain's military might just isn't up to America's. Lend Lease saved both Britain and Russia by resupplying them with needed goods and supplies(both military and non military), because neither could keep up with the supplies and equipment the Germans destroyed.

Point of all this, stfu mr. history "whiz".

oh and Makong its over 200 years, and thats 2 major wars against America that Britain could not subdue us, now UK relies on America, oh the irony, wouldn't you say?

The way I look at it, we lost more men in a month in Vietnam than we've lost in three years in Iraq.

We lost more men in three days at Gettysburg (both sides individually) than we've lost in three years in Iraq.

We lost more men in three hours at Normandy than we've lost in three years in Iraq.

And at times during WWI, both sides lost more men in three MINUTES than we've lost in three years in Iraq.

There has never been a more successful Military force in the History of the World, and the MSM and Democratic party are trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory simply in the name of partiasn political advantage.

If I were a Democrat, I'd be ashamed of my Party. As it is, I'm ashamed that these Democrats are Americans.

Quoted for truth.

Now, for Bush v Clinton, lets count how many times CLinton just stood by and took it up the ass and did nothing while Terrorists ran around with their little toys.

February 26, 1993 - World Trade Center terrorist attack.

April 19, 1995 - Oklahoma City bombing (Arguable since it was domestic)

June 25, 1996 - Khobar Towers

1998 - bombings of the American embassies in Tanzania and Kenya.

And finally for the "Our County is better then yours" crowd. Here's a piece from and old issue of Rolling Stone.

…Back in London, I was having dinner in the Groucho Club - this week’s in-spot for what’s left of Britain’s lit glitz and nouveau rock riche - when one more person started in on the Stars and Stripes. Eventually he got, as the Europeans always do, to the part about “Your country’s never been invaded.” (This fellow had been two during the Blitz, you see.) “You don’t know the horror, the suffering. You think war is…”

I snapped.

“A John Wayne movie,” I said. “That’s what you were going to say, wasn’t it? We think war is a John Wayne movie. We think life is a John Wayne movie - with good guys and bad guys, as simple as that. Well, you know something, Mister Limey Poofter? You’re right. And let me tell you who those bad guys are. They’re us . WE BE BAD.

“We’re the baddest-assed sons of bitches that ever jogged in Reeboks. We’re three-quarters grizzly bear and two-thirds car wreck and descended from a stock market crash on our mother’s side. You take your Germany, France and Spain, roll them all together and it won’t give us room to park our cars. We’re the big boys, Jack, the original, giant, economy-sized, new and improved butt kickers of all time. When we snort coke in Houston, people lose their hats in Cap d’Antibes. And we’ve got an American Express card credit limit higher than your piss-ant metric numbers go.”

“You say our country’s never been invaded? You’re right, little buddy. Because I’d like to see the needle-dicked foreigners who’d have the guts to try. We drink napalm to get our hearts started in the morning. A rape and a mugging is our way of saying ‘Cheerio.’ Hell can’t hold our sock-hops. We walk taller, talk louder, spit further, f*ck longer and buy more things than you know the names of. I’d rather be a junkie in a New York City jail than king, queen and jack of all you Europeans. We eat little countries like this for breakfast and shit them out before lunch.”

Thanks for your time,

Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.

No. The US has and is allways in debt, not publically, but they are. Do you really think any economy can support a multi hundred billion dollar a day intelligence and militaristic expenditure. No, it can not.

Every nation is in debt, the UK and virtually every other western European nation has more external debt than the United States. The US spends more on it's military than every other nation of earth combined and yet its economy pwns the fuck out of everyone else.

It's mind boggling. :ugh:

Those calculations are not of the actuall state, they are every individuals CC loans, mortages, company's loans, bank's loans from other banks. That is not what I am talking about. The actual state of the US is in debt.

Go read the New Yorker, you arrogant, elitist fuck.

By the way...............raged

Bush dragged us into debt with his little follys.

OldManPeterson']Only problem with impeaching him is he is just a puppet and this would only put one of the masters (Dick Cheney) directly in charge by taking away the puppet.

So it really would do no good and won't happen. Waste of time and money.

people from cali didt think that far ahead.

Just for arguments sake, I reference Arnold schwarzenegger as their elected governor.

I think most of the "degenerates" went off to Australia.

Shit on "our leader". Bliar was at Bohemian Grove just the same as The Shrub was. He spends more time in the US than he does here.

I learned that you're not too bright.

You would have lost your war of independance if not for help from the French and the Dutch. Try reading a book?

Next tell me how you won WW2 single handed and we'd all be talking German if not for your help. Instead, you could go back to whining about gas prices or rubbing your cock against your AK47.

Steve Ballmer is a fine advert for the US.

your finely trained army got trained in how to get its ass owned by colonists who are nothing more than rabble rousers, who bare in mind, didn't have enough:

gunpowder

musket balls

uniforms/footwear

adequate clothing for the winter

food rations

need I go on? Your army should've had no trouble putting down the insurrection. Lets not forget the colonists really weren't paid either, nor did they have any more than 1 year to serve, and it was entirely a volunteer army.

your european tactics of standing in a line works well when marching through thick woods.

remember Lend Lease? Its what allowed Britain and Russia to continue fighting because they could not produce enough supplies.

Jasper']"Shit scared of a handful of Arabs"

1. Not all Arabs are Muslim.

2. Muslims make up for around 1/3 of the world's population and the majority of them aren't bad and are very peaceful.

3. The extremist muslims tend to hate everyone who isn't, get this... an extremist muslim! I think Brits, Canadians, and the entire Western Hemispere falls in to that category (London bombs be ringing again, no?).

Note: I'm a Republican and I voted for him and I say get him the fuck out. I could do a better job.

[myg0t]Jasper for President

"He is fair, and just... as long as you aren't a jap :nigga: "

1. Who said they were and what does that have to with anything?

2. That's correct yes.

3. I have yet to see any proof that the London Bombings or the WTC attacks were anything to do mith Muslims, extremist or not. The Bush-Cheney conspiracy theory is among the least believable of the lot.

Were you one of those people who put their dollar in the NorAid jar? Oh but I forgot, the IRA are the good terrorists now.

Think it makes a tiny bit of difference whether you vote for the elephant or the donkey? Well maybe it does.

This therad is good. The understanding of politics, economics, and history shown in this thread really does exemplify why we shouldn't even bother teaching the shit in school.

POINT THE FIRST: Putting this bill forward right now is a last desperate attempt to garner votes for the upcoming elections. It will not pass the state's congress, let alone the national. It is nothing more than political hand-waving.

POINT THE SECOND: Bush is not a good President, this is true. He is better than anything the Democrats have to offer though. OMP is right, the two party system has failed. It has been failing since the mid-40's.

POINT THE THIRD: Clinton can stop as many terrorist acts as he likes. As any statistician will tell you, the only events that matter are the ones that actually happen. Which ones happened on Clinton's watch? How did Clinton react? Which ones happened on Bush's watch? How did Bush react? These are the questions that define whether someone's approach to terrorism is action-defined or word-defined. Clinton was the latter, Bush the former. With terrorism there is only one way to respond, and it is not through words. You take the biggest bomb you have and you jam it right down the motherfucker's throats. And then you do it again. And again. And again. And you keep doing it until the fear of being killed by America outweighs the hatred of America.

POINT THE FOURTH: The gas prices of the world are going up for a number of reasons, one of which is the war in Iraq. Drilling Alaska will not push our prices down, it will raise them as OPEC sees that we are going to decrease our demand in 5 or so years when the drilling commences and will jack the prices up because they know we've got nowhere else to go. Drilling Alaska is not an option to lower the price of crude immediately, it will only work in the long run. Either way, we are still paying a significant amount less than any other developed country pays for gasoline. You think you have it so bad? Try buying gas in Europe.

POINT THE FIFTH: The United States has been in debt since its inception. We borrow from ourselves rather than other countries. Almost all of the "debt" that the United States owes is to its own citizens and government. Only a very small portion of the national debt is owed to other countries. Further, this debt that we owe other countries is, in almost every case, offset by the debt owed to us by these countries so much that we either break even or come out ahead. Nobody calls in a debt on the USA because nobody can afford to pay if we call in the debts that they owe to us. The only exception to this rule is China, and the media frenzy over China "dumping bonds" is pure bullshit. They don't have enough bonds to sink the dollar even if they wanted to.

The only countries that could actually destroy the dollar's value is Saudi Arabia and, possibly, Japan. China doesn't even show up on a give-a-shit meter when you measure international debt.

This is all pointless though. The United States economy is so large that even slight fluctuations in USA monetary/fiscal policy lashes out to the rest of the world. We are not some backwaters country like fucking Zimbabwe. Whatever we do here changes the world. No other country holds the power that the USA does over the global economy. We can drop you motherfuckers any time we want. Don't ever think you have power over us because we control you. The greatest threat the United States can make is not "We will invade you," it is "We will stop trading with you."

POINT THE SIXTH: Once again, national debt has been adding up since the United States was born basically. It has almost always gone up, there are almost no periods where our debt has gone down. Clinton's "surplus" was projected. He never actually obtained a surplus, he never decreased our national debt. It rose even with him in office.

POINT THE SEVENTH: The campaign in Iraq is one of the best executed military actions in the history of the world. Get over it. Shit happens in war, people die.

POINT THE EIGHTH: The cost of the war in Iraq is miniscule when compared to the rest of the budget for the USA. We lose more than $200 billion in fucking filing paperwork. If you're so concerned about how Iraq is driving the economy into the ground then I'm sure you won't object to the complete privatization of Social Security? If you make a fuss about national debt but at the same time think Social Security should not be ditched onto the side of the road like the dead cow that it is then you are a fucking idiot.

POINT THE NINTH: None of you are smart enough to be posting in this thread.

god damn your asian mind and thx for explaining it 1000 times beter than i ever would.

I'd say we could probably get rid of the debt if we'd stop funding all of those bleeding heart liberals 'Help the helpless', 'Give money to everybody' programs.
