April 28, 200619 yr Is any one really going to buy this system? I think Nintendo is dead. Yes, I don't know why they haven't given up yet.
April 28, 200619 yr I'm not surprised they would make another fucked up system [Which looks even worse than the G4yCube] Nintendo died after super nintendo. maybe after 64 since goldeneye was a sweet game. All I can say to that is "Rifk".
April 28, 200619 yr when the kids buy it there gonna be like playing mario and when they kill someone there gonna shout out WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
April 28, 200619 yr yea saw this today on #milw0rm and didnt think of posting it so w/e and btw the netendo will rule if you did read up on yur shit you would know newb good look at the controler ffs and the games moron.
April 28, 200619 yr mario party games are fun, so it might be interesting with that new controller. those games are gay they take hours its like fucking monopoly
April 28, 200619 yr Research a game called "Red Steel" for the Revolution. I'm buying that because I have money and enjoy new and innovative games. those games are gay they take hours (Mario Party) its like fucking monopoly Make some friends, the game sucks ass in one player mode.
April 28, 200619 yr chozo_ninpo'] Make some friends, the game sucks ass in one player mode. im talking bout multiplayer and ive played with like 4 other peopel it still takes long edit:who the hell plays that game in 1 player?
April 28, 200619 yr im talking bout multiplayer and ive played with like 4 other peopel it still takes long edit:who the hell plays that game in 1 player? You played a four person game with four other people? ROFL Benchwarmer. Time flies when you're drunk or high as fuck. Bright colored mushrooms can be the shit on some good 'Cid nigga.
April 28, 200619 yr This new Nintendo box has sparked my interest and I havent enjoyed a console since the SNES and currently own no consoles at all. I really like the idea of being able to download old games(nes, snes, n64, gensis, tgx16) and play them on this box. I've enjoyed using emulators on my PC for years now and I really like the fact that Nintendo has realized this market finally. Also the price of this box is expected to be less then 200, which is not bad, unlike the current next gen consoles which are at the 400+ mark, where you might as well just build or buy a computer for that price which has more uses. All that being said, I think this new name has to be the worst idea ever. I won't be surprised that the PR backlash this name brings will cause Nintendo to either change the name back to Nintendo Revolution (which wasn't a bad name to beging with) or something else. They are trying something pretty risky to begin with and a stupid name could turn people away. Doubt many people are gonna wanna say "man I just bought a Wii and it kicks ass".

April 28, 200619 yr Gay name, people will be like " hey want to hold my wii?" or "want to play with my wii"
April 28, 200619 yr My knowledge on this new system is a bit dated, but here goes. Nintendo has always been mimicked by other consoles in one way or another. They've always brought innovation to the table. However, I've yet to see a game for this new system that captures my interest (or any new games at all for that matter). When I bought a gamecube I had high hopes for the future games I would own. Perfect Dark Zero, Zelda, Conker 2, Smash Bros. But as time went by, 3 of the aforementioned games never came out as advertised, and we got some shitty mario game with mario sporting a water pack. I mean wtf? They never used the internet jack on the bottom of the system, contrary to what they said earlier. Their quality games have become too few inbetween. I'm all for innovation, but the concept of Donkey Konga is retarded. Downloading older games on the system is fine, but I'd rather just dust off my older systems, cuz they still work. And as far is 3rd party support, Nintendo is up shit creek without a paddle. It's been that way since the N64, and it got worse after they lost Rareware and Silicon Knights. Odd looking toys aren't going to save them. They need solid games that can compete with the rest of the market. I wonder if they can pull a miracle out of their asses.
April 28, 200619 yr They've done it before. If it doesn't work in america, it's bound to work in japan. go to wikipedia and look up "Sega" for instance. The dreamcast still has support over there. It's great that you still have all your old console systems and such and they work. Most people don't have that. I think this was done to show why nintendo was so great back in the day. Hell, I know it would be great to play The Guardian Legend on a console instead of an emulator. I think the biggest thing to worry about is IF there is donwloadable content, what will be the price of each game? Will some abstract game cost a buck to download, and one with a movie licence be $30 bucks, despite the fact that they are both NES games?

But the price is all there (I made a thread about it here, it's priced at $100 I think, or $150) compared to the others like you said. But IMO it will fail big time the games will probably be total fucking shit like fucking "PAPER MARIO, NEXT GEN!!!!!11" and look at the controller for it for fuck sake, now the name? It's very hard to take this system seriously when they name it "Wii"
April 28, 200619 yr Anyone who's posted in this thread and thinks it will be shit needs to do some research or quit trying. I'm not going to list all the features but the people who are trying to criticise the Wii are way off the mark. My reasons why I am definitely going to buy a Wii regardless of what anyone else says: 1) It's effectively a bunch of retro consoles bundled into one and you can download all of the games onto the hard drive that comes as standard. Also 100% compatible with GC discs. 2) It's going to be dirt cheap. Even if it's $200 it's still far less than you'd have to spend on all those retro consoles seperately and it could even be as cheap as $100. 3) Nintendo know what they're doing, Innovation is what they're good at. 4) I'm fully confident it won't flop, I know of many people who will be buying one and the Japanese market will not allow it to flop. 5) My final reason is sort of a mix of other reasons. I don't want to spend too much money on a console that developers are just going to churn out boring, unoriginal games on. The PS2 and XBox had some good games between them but I don't believe enough to warrant owning one in this day of PC gaming. I want to try something new and different and I think the Nintendo Wii will bring this.
April 28, 200619 yr i am a game lover, ive had prolly every console worth naming and since the metroid titles are nintendo exclusive i will prolly buy any nintendo console for just that reason, and retro gaming is sexy so thats a big plus, as far as the name thingy that made me rofl, the new slogan could be: "weee lest pley sum tetris muddafukkah"

It's not gonna exactly be dirt cheap here, we had the ps2 for like £350 (or £400) when it first came out, yanks got it for $400 or something like that, it's not gonna be like £100 or so here, it will prolly be about £200, fuck that, i'd rather pay £350 for an Xbox360. You seem like a fanboy, Hooden.
April 28, 200619 yr The current consoles dont interest me, so the way nintendo is being innovative is interesting, to me at least. And if i can download old school games like yoshis island and the SNES FF's, ill buy this console. Only thing about the name is, that all the xbox fanbois will be laughing, making horrible jokes about the name
