Posted August 2, 200618 yr So, I got a shiny new computer with a x1600 pro. This is of course a big mistake on my part. So I start getting random crashes. I update the driver, no use. I disable all hardware acceleration, no use. Finaly I can't even reboot my computer. I decide to try to disable it. I boot it in safe mode (the only working way I could boot it) and it crashes during start up. Now, I'm totaly fucked because somehow this crash deleted some windows configuration file. This would be easy to fix with the original disc but! You guessed it, windows came pre-installed. So now I have this windows xp disc (original os was media center edition). I'm not even sure if I can get a serial for it, I have torrents on my computer (so i can't bring it into the shop). So my question is, if my computer came with a secondary drive (since it did) is it safe to install a second windows on it? If not my only other option is to reformat and bring it into the shop/buy xp.
August 2, 200618 yr True, it is safe. When you boot up it will ask you which drive you want to boot up on.
August 13, 200618 yr If they sell the software he has on his PC, and they have reason to believe that his actions are losing them money, they may narc. Original poster, starting a sentence or thread with "So" is incorrect and strange. Check the other drive. My mother's PC had a second partition to be used for backing up the OS partition.

Thanks for the gramar tip, anyway, I re-formated and did a clean install.
