August 27, 200618 yr Cool fucking gun seriously. Love guys comment "Scares the shit out of me every time" after hes shot it.
August 27, 200618 yr Negative, I'm not talking about the traditional kinetic energy . Every moving projectile produces damage out of kinetic energy but that does not explain why the 50. cal would ripe your flesh within 3 inches. Why the 50. caliber sniper rifle does this is that unlike the conventional projectile firearms, it creates a much stronger air pressure behind the projectile (Dismiss my prior poor diction usage of "rotational force") Any projectile traveling in a high velocity compresses air in front and leave empty air behind it that causes surrounding air rush in to fill the space. It's that force caused by the surround air that actually rips your flesh. (Just think of the shockwave phenomenon or the sonic boom) Ask any service member who's operated a 50 cal and he will concur that it will ripe your flesh within 3 inches. BTW, the real reason why it's not intended for human targets is because the weapon is considered unethical to be used against fleshy targets not because it's ineffective. Let me guess, State University? I'm no engineering major but I can swear on my unborn child that a 50 cal will fuck you up. Snipers don't want bullets that will go straight through a person...They want bullets that stay in the body to produce maximum damage. Thats why its not intended for fleshy targets...and yeah he is an engineering major. kapwnd.
August 27, 200618 yr NWA;372521']splash damage? rofl what do you think this is warcraft 3? ROFL was about to say the exact same thing :lmfao:
August 27, 200618 yr I've fired a magazine of .50 ae from a desert eagle at a range, and honestly It's just not a very practical gun. Expensive bullets, heavy, and rediculous recoil. I'd take a .45 over it personally. Granted your peen feels like you could pole-vault when your shooting it, but unless bears are trying to invade your home your better off with a lesser caliber pistol or just a shotgun.

August 27, 200618 yr NWA;372916'] Bullets rotate to become more aerodynamic. Bullets rotate to become more accurate, as opposed to tumbling, like buckshot or a bean bag projectile.
August 27, 200618 yr Bullets rotate to become more accurate, as opposed to tumbling, like buckshot or a bean bag projectile. Accuracy from rotation is a direct effect of the increased aerodynamics.
August 28, 200618 yr Bullets rotate to become more accurate, as opposed to tumbling, like buckshot or a bean bag projectile. Then how are M16's so accurate?
