Any of you experimented with outputting computers' display to a TV?

how did it turn out? how to games, desktop, text look?

for my next machine i want to make it output to a 27 inch flat screen tv(case small enough to not be noticed), they have much better picture than the bubble tv's so i was thinking they'd give a good display. I'm getting tierd of sitting directly in front of the monitor.

hooked up my comp to my neighbors 52 inch a couple months ago, bit blurry for reading but for gaming it was good

:hsnono: Tv's are for crap :hsnono: they are LOW RES.. and wrong frame rate for any good

movie or game play. Text ends up being way to large to see right. Stick with CRT.

If you want to see your stuff in a large screen you might want to get one of these. HD Cinema Display sports a 23-inch

From my experiance the text looks weird usually stretched or squashed. and framerates are okay, but it just dont look as sharp as a computer moniter picture.
i hooked my comp up to my 27' flatscreen and it was shit.

TV are crap, nough said, they cannot match the quality of a monitor. Unless you own a Plasma screen.

Only reason you'd run a tv out to your tv from computer is for like viewing movies on the tv from the computer.

mine turned everything black and white... using gf4 mx420

how to fix?

text seemed fine... just black and white.

It works fine with me, I have a geforecefx5200 w/ tv/out and a 30" Sony, the quality is ok, I only use it for movies/porn. Other than that I use my monitor, I have a 19" so it's big enough for me.
