Posted August 30, 200618 yr I downloaded a movie and none of my players recognize it. Does anyone know of a converter that I could use to change it to a common know extension like .wmv or .mpeg??? I would appreciate the help.
August 30, 200618 yr If none of you players recognize it, it probably is encoded in a codec you don't have. So you can either download some codecs or convert it (Which can take a long time, depending on how long the video is). If you think you already have all the codecs and it still doesn't work, then i'll post a decent / easy converter for you.
August 30, 200618 yr what is the format in? i know for a fact its easy to convert from like .avi to .mpg by jsut changing the filename (duh) but im guessing its a harder format to convert since you said that you need a program. there are several out there that are easy to find on torrents or IRC so jsut post the filename and I'm sure me and a couple of others could help.

August 30, 200618 yr Author I click on properties and for file description it just says: file. That's it. I think that's retarted. I have a special player that can play all these weird files without having to convert them but even this player can't recognize it. So if you guys can think of any special converter that might do the job, plz tell me. I downloaded Divx a long time ago but the special features it came with like Divx Converter have expired so I can't really use that unless I buy it. Appreciate your help guys.
