September 6, 200618 yr Liberals are jackasses. Conservatives are cocksuers. Or reverse the terminology if you want. Whatever. At any rate, I'm currently a democrat. Reason being that I find the current republican party (at least, the ones in positions of power right now) are working for their own self interest. Now we all wait for NWA to come in here and bash all of us non-republicans and such for being liberal weiners. 3 posts? 4 maybe?

September 6, 200618 yr Mines BNP. British National Party, or known as British Nazi Party. Won tje vote where i live.
September 6, 200618 yr If there was an election now I would vote for either the sdlp (Social Democratic and Labour Party) or the uup (Ulster Unionist Party), as they are the only two in the area that have their heads screwed on (ie the other parties are all either extremists or completely suck balls)

September 6, 200618 yr I lean pretty far left. By the way, anyone dumb enough to follow party lines close enough to be able to say "I am a *****" is pretty much so dumb that you can discount his opinion in any future discusison regarding politics. Republican and Democrat are both just names for people too stupid to think for themselves.
September 7, 200618 yr Well up here in canada we have the marijuana party headed by Marc-Boris St-Maurice ...http://www.marijuanaparty.com/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=60
September 7, 200618 yr how about a candidate with some common sense, who doesn't base ideas on religion or morals and who doesn't want to shove them down your throat. how about a person who sees things as how they truly are and acts accordingly. not according to old customs or traditions. how about trying to recitify the problem as best as possible with regards to the current situation. but no, we are stuck with republicans and democrats who are none other than the same. And yes, al gore would have gone to iraq too.
September 7, 200618 yr independant > all the party system is why everything is so fucked up.. most corrupt thing ever.. people randomly voting on bullshit just because their party tells them to and if they want funding to get re elected next year they have to be a mindless tool
September 7, 200618 yr One Nation Australia- They wanted to slash immigration, tighten up on illegal immigrants, reduce the welfare to those who genuinely need it and force the bludgers into working for the councils in old chain-gang style labour for an equal wage as the welfare cheque, introduce criminal penalties and jail time for taggers, instant deportation to country of origin for immigrants convicted of criminal acts within 7 years of arriving, and encourage small to medium sized businesses and mum&dad style businesses with tax incentives, streamlined paperwork, and free consultation. They were a little racist though, so the other parties came down on them very hard, ending in someone digging up a small financial mistake the leader had made with funds, and her being sent to prison. She was aquitted, and released after 11 weeks.
September 7, 200618 yr Although I like to think of myself as a liberal I can see things both ways pretty well. As far as your question about parties Id consider myself to be a democrat, not that Im ever gonna vote.
September 7, 200618 yr Choosing not to vote is choosing for someone else to decide your future. I heard that about 50% of Americans didn't vote. Perhaps it would have been Kerry in charge if they had.
September 7, 200618 yr We have this hoorah word called Democracy that gives us a sense that the system is just. Then we have parties such as Republicans or Democrafts, whom we associate with to give us a sense that we're actually in some sort of control. But in reality, we're all just slaves to the elites who really doesn't give a shit about us. It doesn't matter which party is in the senate or the house, the gap between the rich and the poor will always grow, the cost will be shared and the profit will stay privatized, those blue states will continue to flaunt their cosmopolitcan lifestyle and those red states will continue to wave their red, white and blue dicks and believe whatever Rumy tells them. I'm not affiliated with any parties because I honestly don't give a rat's ass about this hopeless country. I'm just here to do my share to pay my taxes that will probably help Israel buy another F-16 so they can drop bombs on arabs.

I'm just here to do my share to pay my taxes that will probably help Israel buy another F-16 so they can drop bombs on arabs. hehe, I like the way you ended that comment! But rather than choose not to vote for a major party, you can choose to vote for a minor one. In NZ, most people didn't like either of the leading parties so many decided not to vote for either back in '99. They voted for the Greens and for NZ First. Both these parties got enough votes to enter parliament. NZ's parliament system give you seats in the main political house based on your number of votes. Majority gets power, but everyone in the house gets a chance to have their say and debate any legislation before it gets passed into law- usually. I know it's different in the states, but if a decent chunk of people voted for a minor party that had good policies, they'd be noticed. And in the following election, they will probably have more support. That's how NZ First got into it, and the Greens, and One Nation.
