Just a while ago my ares program stopped working so I was wondering, what is the best program in the p2p community? One that has a big network but isn't a resourse hog or anything like that?
i use bearshare

Right now the easiest way to get files safely is eMule and torrents. As for a torrent application I'd use uTorrent as it takes almost no resources at all.

eMule is a little complicated and you can PM me if you want some help setting it up.

I was already using uTorrent but now I'm using Frostwire as well. Thanks guys =]

Limewire Pro for me as well when I am looking for a quick find to an indivudal file; but for movies, whole albums, applications, and so fourth its torrents and FTP all the way in my opinion.

For torrents I use Azerues (spelling?) and for my FTP Client I use SmartFTP.

bitComet

used to use Limewire Pro but not its full of ads and shit, everytime you click on a download it goes to a fuckin website

Agreed.

Oh yeah harmless-tampon suggested a great application; soulseek. I find it PERFECT for any type of music, especially the non mainstream type.

LANs for 95% of what I want, and a whole lot of stuff that I may someday want, and Ares for speciality porn or music that I can't find at LANs.

Forums for anything that still doesn't fit in the above categories.

LANs are the way to go man, it cost me $90 in my currency for a rapidshare account, 45gig of bandwidth, and the ISP connection fee to download 45gig in a month. In one night at a LAN 2 weeks ago, I got 220gig of movies, games, music, porn, and software- with time left for gaming, beers, and eating junk food.
