wasnt there a trojan that did that

when it says its gonna shut down just do

Start menu -> run -> type in "shutdown -a" without the quotes ;o

that's what you deserve and get when you use Norton's as your Anti-virus protection proggy... I use an old Norton Antivirus CD for a coaster for my beer .. its only good for keeping those pesky water rings off my desk and thats about it

ITS A BUG, TORCH UR PC :) SMOKE THEM OUT!

bitch ure stupid. i recently installed winxp pro and i didnt update it so the msblaster worm fucked me pc up but after i updated it , computers perfect now.

hook, that's exactly what the msblaster worm did...did you patch against it? there ARE some versions still out there "in the wild", which crash RCP services, causing repeated shutdowns whenever the machine is online.
