Posted February 15, 200421 yr http://www.gothic2.com this game is fucking cool.No, it has nothing to do with cutting your wrists to see who gets the most blood out, or buying big name brand shirts just to ducktape them(fucking idiots). It is sort of like morrowind, in the sense that it is completely non-linear and vast to explore. The combat is one of the things it sets it apart from morrowind the most though. Instead of just running and standing in front of a bug and hitting on left click button, you actually dodge and parry attacks. It is sort of like zelda 64 combat, but a lot cooler, and not kiddyish and gay. Normal NPCs, like guys in towns, if you bring their hp to 0 with a sword or fist or axe or whatever, they don't die. They fall on the ground, unconcious, you can loot them while they are like that, so they can't just get up and pick their weapon back up. OR, you can do it the fucking cool way, you crouch down above them, jab your sword into their chest and twist around. it's funny because as you are doing that, you see the victim come back awake and is shaking his head and waving his hands in fear. The combat may seem really hard and clunky at the very beginning, but apparently it's supposed to be like this. When you get more experience, you get swifter and do better combos with your sword/axe/whatever, and it's pretty rewarding. stealing shit is pretty fun too, for lock picking, you hit left or right, if you go the wrong way, your pick breaks and you use another one. omgleet game i recommends, and if you do try it, just give it a chance at the start, i almost gave up because i was confused and pissed off about the combat. :ughd:
