it comes up with some bullshit window saying it recovered from a serious error. Shit shuts and boots off fine.

can you still get to system recovery?

if so, just do that

right click 'My Computer' > Properties

 

hit the Advanced tab on the top

 

under 'Startup and Recovery' hit the Settings button

 

uncheck everything

 

hit ok
