October 16, 200618 yr Been smoking for 6 years now and I'm 18. I smoke because I love it, not because I can't quit. Non-Menthol: Camel Turkish Golds Menthol: Marolboro Milds Winston S2's are good.

October 17, 200618 yr I smoked a while back for a little while never really got into it and decided it was stupid. The only real way to quit Id imagine is to just not touch them no matter what the circumstances are.

October 17, 200618 yr Hey moron, what if you just didn´t smoke one...oh but it´s so hard! lol yeah right. actually as a smoker it is very hard to quit i am trying hard myself, i smoke about a pack a day and its really not good for you i can feel the effects on a daily basis
October 17, 200618 yr Simple equation. Smoke first for free = get addicted = you have to pay for them. Cigarette = addictive. Cigarette = poison. Now using this formula you can figure out the answer. Cigarette = paying to be addicted, to poison yourself, to throw away more money to be addiceted to poison yourself to throw away more money. Now this equation is like PI, it's never ending so insted of boring you (I already have) I will let you know the true answer. (there is an exception in this equation if you stop smoking) Answer = Never start cigaretts in the first place or you are a dumbshit because they never did anything for you.
October 17, 200618 yr Where did all the bad ass cig smoking trolls go? Either they're hiding from this thread, or all you kids cleaned up. :thinker:

October 17, 200618 yr Fuck you bonez, making me want a whole pack of lucky strikes. That's what happens when you try to quit on your own lol.
October 17, 200618 yr Only weak people get addicted to nicotine. I'll smoke tobacco if I'm drunk or high, but going through a pack a day because you can't stop is just retarded
October 17, 200618 yr ^^^ If your not a smoker don't comment. Your just making yourself look ignorant. Nicotine is one of the most addictive drugs known to man. That comment is like saying "if your addicted to coke your weak, for not baing able to magically 'break' your addiction." I'm an ex coke head, ex smoker, and ex pot smoker. I know more about adictions than any human should ever have to. You can't just 'stop' smoking, your body will not let you. When i first quit my body went nuts on me. Making me puke constantly, fevers, headaches, ect. Has nothing to do with 'weakness'. Its an addictive drug that your body loves, and never wants to be without. Give it a try before you go calling people weak. P.S - No, smoking a few when your drunk or high does not count as being a smoker. When i mean give it a try, i mean star to be a smoker, then try to quit. We'll see whos views change, lol. EDIT: After re-reading my post it seems kind of harsh, sorry. Wasn't trying to talk shit or anything, just wanted to point out that being addicted to a drug has nothign to do with weakness.
October 18, 200618 yr When i first quit my body went nuts on me. Making me puke constantly, fevers, headaches, ect. Fevers and headaches? Oh, I guess I was addicted. My fevers and headaches really weren't that bad but I had to take a couple days off school.
October 18, 200618 yr I was talking about when i quit doing coke. Cigs made me feel like shit for a few days, and my appetite when crazy. But they were equal in the amount of addiction. I wanted to smoke a cigarette more than anything, and i STILL fight it on a dialy basis. Now (after have quit both for a long time) its alot easier to stay off of coke than cigarettes. Cigarettes are everywhere, and when you only need one they're always free. All it takes to relapse is one little sentence, "hey bro, can I bum a smoke?" It's they're availability that makes them so hard to stay off of. Coke was the worst physically, making me puke/fevers ect. as i said. Cigs were bad too, had horrible head aches and my whole body felt like shit. Its the mental addiction to smoke cigarettes, and they'er availability that makes it probably the hardest drug to get off of in the world. I would put nicotine as a much harder drug to get off of that cocain or crystal. Never tried herione, so I can't comment on that.
October 18, 200618 yr I have to agree with Captian here. Everyone I know who does or has smoked agrees that non smokers have no idea how hard it is to stop. But most non smokers I know say "why don't you just stop?" as though it's like choosing not to drink chocolate milk anymore, or giving up your favourite food. It's not that easy. Imagine being surrounded by jugs of ice cold water while you work out, and not being able to drink anything from them, for 3 months. Imagine having demons under your skin screaming to get out and tearing you up inside for weeks on end, and knowing a puff on a cigarette will make them calm. Imagine sitting in a room with a double barrelled shotgun in your hand watching someone rape your sister while she screams for help, for weeks, but trying not to pull the triggers. Now imagine all three of those at once. That's what it's like to give up a highly addictive substance that is socially acceptable, in common use by about 35% of the population of the world, and available everywhere for pocket change. You may think not being able to quit is a weakness, but not understanding what you are judging people on is ignorant.

A good friend of mine became a coke dealer and he used to give me free lines when I wanted. I have to agree that coke was one of the worst things to quit. There you go, thats the phrasing I was looking for.
October 18, 200618 yr mmm maybe you should have thought of that when you started doing coke every day? I've done it more times than I can count but never more than once every week or two at the very most, and generally more like once every month or two. I am not debating the fact that chemical addiction exists, what I'm saying is weak is allowing yourself to become addicted in the first place.
