March 10, 200421 yr ask the owner of the server to send you his server.cfg file. use an excuse like "i want to learn more about how cs servers work" . He probably wont know recon passwords are stored there.
March 11, 200421 yr depends on what you mean by "hacking into a cs server" if you mean compromizing it entirely, it doesn't matter WHAT kind of service or program it's running...hacking is hacking...you portscan it, ID the OS its running, figure out what ingrained weakness you're going to exploit, and exploit it. if you mean "how do I sieze control over some asshole admin's CS server, and ban him from it?"....well, that's not hacking, first off...it barely qualifies as scriptkiddy bullshit...and second off, it STILL depends on what you want to do...just grab temporary control, and fuck shit up, or REALLY get up to shit. if all you want is to sieze control and terrorize users for a while, sniff the rcon, log in with rcon, and abuse the shit out of thigs...add admin, delete admin, ban people, change settings, run execclient commands (if they have adminmod or amxmod), and so on and so forth. if you REALLY want to fuck shit up...you gotta find out how the hosting company sets up the FTP access for their clients...once you know this, there are several ways to "crack" access to FTP...at which point you can add, delete, or modify core CS files at will last step, which is useless except for doing things like stopping server, restarting server, and deleting server....get putty (most hosting companies use SSH for remote admin these days) sniff around until you find out what the "main" IP for the server group is...log in as root, and use one of several methods to crack the password....
March 16, 200421 yr sp0rkeh? fine...take the easy way out, and be a lame ass scriptkiddy. sp0rkeh is a self-installing client-server program, basically. You download it, run the installer, click the new icon on your desktop, set your password, set the target IP, and click "run", and it sends the "server" to the target IP, installs itself on there, opens a connection, and asks you for your password. You type in the password, and are connected...now you have remote access to the victim IP, through a little window that's basically a minature desktop, except it shows the target computer desktop.
