October 25, 200618 yr The only good presidents that the US ever had were assassinated. Reagan was as good of a president as Schwarzenegger of a governor. WW2 was the last war justified and the US has been losing support for wars ever since. Terrorism was advertised in the last decade to jumpstart this nation's war driven economy. However, wars do not make the nation wealthier, but they're certainly lucrative for the fascists who run this nation. As we slowly sign away our rights to these fascists, George Orwell's totalitarian setting progressively materializes before our eyes. I'm just kidding! The government would never do this. Crazy liberals! Vote Republican! I hope these boards aren't monitored by big brother. The United States entered WW2 on a made up justification, to say the least. Read a history book. Read the Bill of Rights. If you're really worried about anything shitty happening, read and defend the second Amendment: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. One thing keeps the government in check in America and that is fear of the people. Do not let anyone strip you of your basic right to arm and defend your life, liberty, and happiness. Anyone who is for stricter control of guns is an idiot. Any public official who proposes a gun "ban" or tighter restrictions should be voted out immediately. The United State's government should fear the United States citizens, not the other way around. When you vote this November, try to remember one thing: none of those fucks currently in office are representing you. Every incumbent gets voted out by me every single election unless I am thorougly convinced that they are representing my interests. I suggest most of you who can vote do the same. ALSO: Every gay marriage ban amendment or proposition gets voted for. Fuck those queers.
October 25, 200618 yr The last good President we've had was Ronald Reagon. And no, I don't listen to Rush. Patriotism was at an all time high since ww2, and it took terrorism to reach half that level in the last decade. Clinton was at least as good as Reagon, sure he had the sex scandal but who really gives a fuck, are economy was doing good and he wasnt getting us into wars over nothing. I dont understand how so many people could be calling for Clintons impeachment, and are now just sitting around watching Bush blow everything up and then some that Clinton had accomplished.
October 25, 200618 yr NWA;396807']ALSO: Every gay marriage ban amendment or proposition gets voted for. Fuck those queers. You talk about the basic right of happyness. Do the homosexuals not deserve the same right? They don't get to marry and be happy?
October 25, 200618 yr You talk about the basic right of happyness. Do the homosexuals not deserve the same right? They don't get to marry and be happy? No. Unless they do it in their own gay country.
October 25, 200618 yr Then you are no better than Mr. Bush himself. You like the constitution, but change it to suit your needs.
October 25, 200618 yr OldManPeterson;396631']I care because this was written by the founders of this country to help protect the rights of the citzens of this country. The founding fathers that fucked over hundreds of thousands of indians? How are we sure they had there head on straight? October 25, 200618 yr NWA;396807']The United State's government should fear the United States citizens' date=' not the other way around.[/quote'] This could be a good movie quote given its rhetoric tone. The government should be afraid of its people but this is not the reality today. They learned the lessons from the Romans and the Nazis and they know how to handle a revolt. Their capabilities are only broadened by such rapid development of surveillance and removal of rights. You're speaking as if rallying a militia is an easy task when shit hits the fan. The government employs a myriad of psychologists, Phds, lawyers, not to mention an actual military that will make it utterly impossible to contemplate any effective means of resistance. I hate to say this but there's no way they're going to let the dems take control of the congress in the upcoming election. Once the dems are in control, impeachment might actually be feasible. You don't think they already foresee this? They're not stupid. I respect the fact that you're optimistic about the system and hold the Constitution dear to heart. But I'll sleep with my cynical views until I actually see some real changes in the next couple of years.
October 25, 200618 yr ^^^ IT already is a movie quote(not exact, but he same idea). Watch V for Vendetta
October 25, 200618 yr You talk about the basic right of happyness. Do the homosexuals not deserve the same right? They don't get to marry and be happy? The debate on homosexual marriage is not about basic rights. You do not need to be married to be happy. It is a semantic argument and a waste of money. You do not have a right to be married to someone. If you are married someone then you share specific rights with your spouse, you do not gain any new rights. The battle for gay marriage is an effort in stupidity. Gays should take their civil unions and be happy. Now, many queers will quote some crap about separate but equal rulings from the 60's or some shit like that. DOES NOT APPLY. The rights conferred to participants of civil unions are exactly the same as those conferred to married couples, the difference is in name only. There is no separate but equal problem here because there is no room for differentiation between the two as in the racial issues of the mid-1900's. The papers that you file are processed by some computer, there is relatively little human input at all and so there is relatively little room for bias against a particular population. What it comes down to is that Bible-belt Republicans need a rallying cry and ***gots are all too willing to play the part. It is a non-issue being made into an issue by people who want power or people who are too stupid to see that it doesn't matter. There is no point behind gay marriage. Winning this battle will not help with discrimination against gays. PS - the saying about the government fearing its citizens is not from V for Vendetta. It is a basic tenet of all democracies. The people hold the power, not the state.
October 25, 200618 yr But they'er NOT happy with civil unions, so yes it is kind of a battle for their basic right to be happy. They're being told they can't do something. They can't do something any one else in America can do simply because of the sex of their life mate. I don't know about you, but when i'm told i CAN'T do something, it pisses me off and im not happy about it. Being told they don't have the right to marry. Yes it is only a difference in name, I agree. But it is still the fact that it is something they can't do. I'm a straight male, but I know when im told I can't do something it really pisses me off. <- Thats the only reason I support gay marriage. I live by the phrase "To each his own" If they want to marry, I say knock yourself out homos, whatever makes you happy as long as im left alone. And I never said that quote was "from" v for vendetta, I said it has already been used as a movie quote, and stated the most recent movie I remebered it in. But if your denying that V says something like that, here's the exact quote "V : People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people."
October 25, 200618 yr You know, honestly, I don't give a shit what pisses you off and neither does anyone else. You do not have a right to not be pissed off. You have a right to pursue happiness, not to be happy. I can't park in the disabled parking spaces. OH MAN AM I FUCKING PISSED ABOUT THAT. SEPARATE BUT EQUAL MY FUCKING ASS!! I AM GOING TO GET THAT SHIT CHANGED! This is what they're arguing over. A fucking parking space. You know, it's fine for the ***gots to get uppity about it and shit like that but I'm going to vote it down every single time it comes up on a ballot just because I honestly think they need to move on and sometimes the only way to get somebody to move on is to put them into the ground over and over again until they get it. PS - I saw V for Vendetta, I know the quote is in there. I'm just saying that it shouldn't have to be a "movie quote" for it to be known. Every single citizen of the USA should know some form of it and should believe in it.
October 25, 200618 yr I do have the right to be pissed off, every American does. Getting pissed off at things is what made this great nation, and what has help it evolve to what it is today. What if taxes to the UK didn't piss the colonists off? The examples could go on for ever. Personally on many issues such as the gay marriage ect, I don't vote for it at all. I have no need or even a want for it to happen. I also don't have a need or a want for it to not happen. But I support questioning things, and protesting, and do what ever you can think of to make changes to better yourself or your country. I've been asked many times if I get pissed off at anti war protestors because i'm in the Marine Corp. My answer - hell no, it makes me want to fight more. I'm fighting so those people have the RIGHT to protest. I say go for it! Protest all you want against wars or w/e; and I will continue to fight for your right to do so. Thats a right you deserve as an American. As for that quote - I couldn't agree with you more buddy. It's sad that it takes movies for people to remember points such as that. But for many Americans it does...
October 25, 200618 yr You do not have a right to not be pissed off. Also, I have no problem with men marrying men and fucking each other in the ass. I simply don't think throwing gobs of money at a semantic debate is a worthwhile excercise and so I will vote it down every time it comes up until they are either out of money, dead, or have a new issue to cry about.
