Posted November 7, 200618 yr Well, it occurred to me today, that life, unlike in our childhoods, is really not very worthwhile to us. We all look towards holidays, such as Christmas and Easter, where we get out of school/work, as well as the weekends. In our youths, life was simple, pleasant, and interesting. We loved to spend time with our close family, learning new things, attempting new endeavors; but now it seems that our lives revolve around the countdown to a time when we have nothing to do. Life is simply the dread of living, looking forward to life passing, to arrive at a time when nothing needs to be done. We are not all hopeless, however. If we can just forget about all of our problems, then we can perhaps learn to be at peace with ourselves and not have to be in a state of misery, due to the slowness of time. Now I don't mean to stop going to work/school. I mean to attempt to become more light-hearted about it. If you have a dull job as a cashier in a store, don't stand at the register all day, monotonously ringing up the patron's goods; chatter with the customers and co-workers. One cannot complain of being unhappy if one does not attempt to negate the foul effects of boredom. Go out and spread cheer to all around you. Be merry, and merry will be made upon you. Keep in mind that my message to you bears no relation to your "raging" hobby, as I hardly consider virtuality a means of virtue. To initiate discussion, answer me this. How can you explain the gap between the curiosity and eagerness of youth, to the listless, mechanical procedures we mindlessly pursue daily?
November 7, 200618 yr first off you stupid shits he isnt emo, second off shut the fuck up and stop trying to be so smart i bet you spend at least an hour "perfecting" your dumb post that will be forgotten about as soon as it is read and in some cases replied to please stop posting your long and VERY boring non sense here no one gives a SHIT!!

It just makes it boring as fuck to read. Please don't say something in paragraphs that can be said in a sentence.

How can you explain the gap between the curiosity and eagerness of youth, to the listless, mechanical procedures we mindlessly pursue daily? It's called responsibility. It's a buzz kill. When you were a kid you didn't care about shit because everything was handed to you, more or less. Your parents worked their asses off so you can be blissful and smile in glee and sit on the red fat man's lap and get your toy firetruck for christmas. You grow up. You have responsibility. YOu have to work to make ends meet. You aren't conserned when your next trip to Toys "r" us is going to be, but instead whether or not your next paycheck will cover your bills. Welcome to the working class and adult hood. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/3815/pwnedud2.jpg by life khtx.

November 7, 200618 yr Speak for yourself. I enjoy each and every day of my life. If you find your life mundane and mechanical, then I think you need to make some changes. You are not persuing a dream. Find what makes your life fun and interesting, and then spend every single day working towards that objective. Choose a career path that you enjoy. Don't chosoe based on money or status or things like that. Find what you want out of life, and go after it like the world will end at any moment.

November 8, 200618 yr Author Folks, I never said that I was depressed. Several of you it seems have misinterpreted the purpose of my consideration. In a nutshell, I think that people who tend to work harder, have less time on normal days to enjoy themselves, and thus will dread living, wishing that the current day was a day that contained no work, and thus no point of living. Days that contain moderate work and moderate fun time will produce the best results. I was in no way giving an explanation of my own personal situation, but creating a generalization based on common observation.

Oh and great conclusion "In a nutshell, I think that people who tend to work harder, have less time on normal days to enjoy themselves" how long did it take you to reach that one? Or maybe this gem "Days that contain moderate work and moderate fun time will produce the best results." All the perfect grammar in the world won't make you look like any less of an emo-goth with no real point.

Edit; I read the thread title and realised you're a hypocrite, you are saying holidays are the reconstruction of society after 'working time' being the destruction, no? Ariba undelay ariba!
