Posted November 11, 200618 yr I might be going in a few weeks for my birthday. Is it as fun as it sounds? And, does it hurt as much as people say? I want battle scars nigga :wow: .
November 11, 200618 yr it depends on what you're playing - woodsball is boring, speed ball is awesome. ive been playing for about five years and it only really hurts if someone bunkers you from less than 5 feet away. but it sounds like you want to get shot up, and seeing as its your first time then i suggest that off the break you run as fast as you can down the field and play front man all day. you'll get shot up lots :naughty:
November 11, 200618 yr it stings for 3 seconds but after that you're good. If some one bunkers you like some one said above it does hurt, but not terribly bad. You will have sooooo much fun. Round' here we have reball its rubber balls instead of paint, and its unlimited nitrous and balls for the whole day, they even give you pods its killer :naughty:
November 11, 200618 yr Been playing the game for a while. If you're afraid(or just a pussy) of getting shot. Get one of your buddies to hti ya a couple times. Then you get use to it.
November 11, 200618 yr Is it fun ? - HELL YES! Does it hurt? - NO People exajurate the pain. It will sting a little bit for a few seconds, but that's it. Very few hits actually hurt. If you get hit in the knuckles at close range it can hurt. Or if you get shot at close range and the balls bounce off then it can hurt because the impact isn't absorbed by the ball breaking. Groin shots can also hurt ofcourse. But even with the 'painful' hits, the 'pain' lasts only a few seconds. So don't be afraid to get shot, it will happen, you will have fun, and you WILL want to go again. (it is very addicting, and gets very expencive because of this.) Then you get to my age, and realize how many thousands of dollars you have spent in the years you've been playing. Then you go right back into the action. No computer game will ever get close to that feeling of hearing a ball wizz right by your ear. PBing owns.

November 11, 200618 yr i disagree, i think woods is funner than speedball.. just remember, if it feels like you get shot, dont call yourself out, wait till a judge declares you hit It feels like getting snapped with a wet towel..which as you should know doesn't the pain doesn't last long at all, i've been playing for many years and its fun as hell also dont call yourself out unless you got hit in the face or shot in the chest AND never wipe paint dont be lame if someone earned a kill let them have it
November 11, 200618 yr ^^^ Yeah, wiping paint is a good way to get kicked out. Also makes you look like a bitch in the eyes of all paint ballers. Play fair, and I garentee (baring an injury like sprained/broken ankle ect.) you will have ALOT of fun. It's like a 3d video game. You get to fight in a battle, and if you 'die', you just wait until next round and get right back into it.
November 11, 200618 yr ya paintball is fun but we had a nerdy friend with us once, he used the "mortar strategy" which means he was just hiding somewhere and shot the paintballs up in the air hoping to hit someone from above :/ whata***
November 11, 200618 yr Author he used the "mortar strategy" which means he was just hiding somewhere and shot the paintballs up in the air hoping to hit someone from above :/ whata*** RIFK.
November 11, 200618 yr I played it once about 5 years ago, fun as fuck, I want to play again. No it does not hurt at all it's just a little sting, if you're just playing for the day then you should be provided with a decent mask, goggles and a cup, you don't really need to worry about anything else. It's like FPS but IRL so of course it's going to be fun as fuck.
November 11, 200618 yr All the people that say it doesnt hurt, well it does. People who have been going a long time learn tricks, like putting the paint balls in the freezer. I go once a month, and i have almost lost a hand due to the gas canester sorta freezing it...but these are the risks you take. As for it, outside paintball is more fun as you have obstickles to get around, like trees, ditches, mud pits and so on.. and usually you play different maps they might put in things like buses, huts, bunkers ect... Its really good and should be entered into the olympics.
November 11, 200618 yr AND never wipe paint everybody wipes, even pros from team dynasty. OH YES AND I AM GOING TODAY BITCHES!!! :__+_()+()(_)

Thats something ***gots do to break car windows. 2.) no it doesn't hurt, if you think it does, your a pussy. 3.) the "gas canister" is co2. you CANNOT freeze anything with it, so im pretty sure you just made that crap up. You can press in the valve and hold a whole 12oz co2 tank directly onto your hand as it emptys, and it will feel cold at the MOST. It cannot do any damage, so no, thats not a 'risk you take'. Plus most people that go alot use compressed air, not co2, which would not even feel cold, just midly cool as it went onto your hand. So either way your full of crap. From reading your post I'd say you've probably never played, or you played once and you thought it hurt so you never went again. I have no idea why you would make crap up about "freezing" your hand, thats just stupid and physically impossible. As for othewr guys question - Woods is playing outside in a large wooded area. Speedball is playing in a very small area with multiple small obstacles like stacked up barrels ect. Sup-Air (Super Air Ball) - Is speed ball, but with inflatable obstacles so the balls can bounce off of them. (this is what you mostly see on TV when the pro teams play)
November 11, 200618 yr i use to play paintball,it doesnt hurt at all,and its really fun,i stopped after my dad broke my gun, because i shot my next door neighbors house up with pink paintballs. :dunno:

(this is what you mostly see on TV when the pro teams play) This supports my fact that you've never been, cause in the safety talk they say if the canister starts to hiss, than drop it or it will freeze you hand. So you obviously havent been. Also for the freezing of the paint balls i havnet got a fucking clue which retards you hang about with to smash car windows, but where im at, they use them to hurt and split peoples skin. i.e my mates check split open, 6 stiches. So dont give me this bollocks and stop trying to be all top g and saying it doesnt hurt. Cause your wrong. Cunt.
November 11, 200618 yr LMAO. go take some physics classes kiddo. I'll pay you any amount of money you wish over pay pal, if you can show me co2 freezing something preferable human skin. LMFAO! As for freezing balls, if you need to try to hurt people to feel cool or tough, then you have alot of growing up to do. RIFK. Freezing with co2? bwhahahahaha Man you justy made my day... I will say this once again and hope you can understand it. PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE! ITS CO2! The most you would have is what a 12oz tank? maybe a 14 or 16 if you want a huge one? lmfao. The most you could do is get soem frost on the outside of w/e your trying to freeze. 16-20 oz of co2 is not going to be enough to free your entire hand. Also - I like how your story went from "almost losing" your own hand, to something you heard in a "safety talk". RIFK Almsot loosing your hand is going to ER, and havin a doctor say, "you almost lost your hand", not 'something i heard soem random guy say might be able to happen'. lmao. As for it hurting? your a pussy. Read this thread, your the ONLY person that says a paintball can hurt. lmao. And as for me never been paint balling? Well no way i can prove it, so no point in me really getting into an argument over that. But I play twice a week, and have since 1994.
November 11, 200618 yr your a fucking retard, you can freeze your hand from the tank. If you have a guy fill your tank that, lets say doesnt kno how to fill your tank properly, it will freeze after the filling and it will burn your hand ( so cold it burns your skin) The tank will become frosty on the outside. its almost happened to me when i used to play back in the day
November 11, 200618 yr Im the retard? There is a differnce between burning your skin form the cold, and FREEZING IT TO THE POINT OF ALMOST HAVING TO AMPUTATE. Read his post. He said he FROZE his hand, and almost lost it. Meaning it was frozen all the way through and a doctor almost had to amputate it. It is physically impossible to freeze an entire human hand to the point of amputation with 20 or less oz of co2. I will repeat that once again to help it sink in : It is physically impossible to freeze an entire human hand to the point of amputation with 20 or less oz of co2.
November 11, 200618 yr i went paintballing with work once, it owned. the gayest part was fog though. my glasses fogged up like shit, but worse of all the masks they gave us were shitty and fogged up like hell. kinda ruined it to an extent, but just play through it and it owns as for getting shot hurting, maybe i'm just a badass but i got popped in the knuckles and the face at close range and it really didnt hurt at all.
November 11, 200618 yr "i have almost lost a hand due to the gas canester sorta freezing it" that could be taken in many ways When somthing freezes to that point it becomes a burn, not all the way through ill give you that. But i dont think he ment literally loosing a hand, just messing it up
November 11, 200618 yr theMinkey;403339']my glasses fogged up like shit' date=' but worse of all the masks they gave us were shitty and fogged up like hell. kinda ruined it to an extent, but just play through it and it owns[/quote'] I don't wear glasses, so I don't know what you could do about that. But you can buy either an anti-fog layer to put o nthe lens of your mask. Or just buy an anti fog mask. I use an anti-fog mask. The lens has two layers that stop it form fogging up. Deffinatly worth it if you are going to start playing regularly. @ian - Yeah, i took it to mean literally becasue he said "almost lost a hand" The most co2 can do it burn the skin or in extreme cases cause frost bite in a very small area. But even in the worste case senario, when your dealing iwht 20 oz, your not going to lose a hand. I didn't want the thread starter to be afraid to go because the thinks paintballing is going to lead to losing limbs ect. lol Paintballing is very low risk if you follow all safety rules. So @ Thread started, be safe, never take your mask off or even lift it up in game, and HAVE FUN.
