FUCK

So i got the video card in today and ... there's no where to put it in ?

I cant take pics becuase i dont have a digi cam atm.

These are the specs of the pc

http://www.shopping.com/xPF-HP-Compaq-A305W-Intel-Celeron-2-7GHz-256MB-DDR-40GB-HDD-CD-RW-10-100Mbps-LAN-Support-Wind~r-1~CLT-INTR~RFR-www.google.com?convertedToHyphens=true

And it says 3 PCI slots available. So i bought this card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Custra...82E16814103167

And the slots dont fit .... As you can see on the card there are 3 separate areas of contact, but on mother board there are only 2.

Looks like this

So do i have the wrong card? Or are the specs of the pc wrong ?

Im very confused and fustrated

Your links are broken. But im guessing that you brought the wrong card. I guess you got a PCI-X card instead of a PCI-e.

You need a PCI-e x16 slot. My guess is you have 3 PCI slots. The PCI-e x16 slot is usually laid back from the PCI slots.

You need a new motherboard or PC.

Edit: After looking through the tech specs of your machine you don't have a AGP or PCI-e x16 slot.... "You need a new motherboard or PC."

gg doing no research before you buy. Anyway yeah you need a new motherboard. Make sure you find out what pin type your current processor uses and buy a motherboard that it will fit into. You dont wanna get a motherboard you cant use.

You have NO apg or PCI-e slot on your pc.

Failed. Cant add a video card to this pc.

try putting it in the dvd/cd drive

or in the RAM slot. It's almost the same and you will get extra RAM from the video card.

If your still alive, then I have found you a PCI graphics card:

Device Type - Graphics adapter

Interface Type - PCI

Graphics Processor / Vendor -ATI Radeon 9250

Core Clock Speed - 240 MHz

RAMDAC Clock Speed - 400 MHz

API Supported - OpenGL, DirectX 9.0

Video Memory Installed ( Max ) - 128 MB - DDR SDRAM

Video Output - 2048 x 1536

TV Interface - TV out

Thats a waste of money. You need to ditch that whole setup and get a new tower.

hahahaha

u need to get the right type of card, normaly old mobos are AGP alot of new ones have pci-e

but really really really old ones only have pci, so u need to get the right one that will fit your mobo
