Personally i'll be getting a Wii, since it looks so much more fun then XBox and PS3. Sony and Microsoft seem to have completely missed the point that there is more to game making then graphics.

For example waving a little stick around.

didnt like the wii. so raged because i waited 4 hours in line to get it and the console sucked shit. so i sold it on craigslist for 550 with zelda, then i went out yesterday when they got new shipments and bought another one and sold it for 400. now i'm off to buy a 360.

If you don't like the sensor controller, then just use the normal ones you can get?

Not much worthwhile is out for it atm, but I mainly want the Wii for:

LoZ games

Metroid Prime 3

Fire Emblem Wii

Smash Bros (who knows, it might be even better if the Wii sensor stuff is put in the right places)

Others that I can't be arsed to think for

Split Screen gaming???

theres this new thing called MULTIPLAYER for consoles. Not really as good as a PC but really you can buy a console and play ANY game you fancy that is out 4 it

PC>>> computer £600

GFX card (which will be shit in a few years £1000

Quatro processor things or woteva the fuck is comin out in 2007...i dont really know but PS3 is better than a 360...

XBOX now lets you PAY to have >YOUR<!! second processor IN the machine YOU HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT so that it will run faster (thats on top of the money you paid for it folks)

btw qhats this thing i hear about SONY losing 200 bucks/ dollars that it for every PS3 they sell???

man £50 for a game is gona cover it : /

ok have fun playing on your split screen on a TV

LAN FTW

This is the most retarded statement ever.

You can lan 360's, ps3, and supposedly Wii's also.

The only people that bitch about any of the systems are kids who's parents won't buy them for them, or poor ******s that can't afford them and can't find any to steal.

If you have 1 tv in your house in 2006, it may as well be a 13 inch black and white.

EDIT:

On the 65 inch mitsubishi I sold to move out here, even 4 player split screen was the size of a computer monitor.

Your logic fails on so many levels.

Quoting myself to try and get my point through.

Who cares?

There are many points to this "console war". The xbox 360 cannot be compared to the PS3.

Why you ask? Because it came out a year ago, and all the titles are using the systems full graphical power. No launch title for any system is going to be able to produce stunning graphics that are upto what the system can produce. You done smoked your self retarded if you think you can compare graphics and all this nonsense.

Breakdown.

PS3 - has potential (sp?) to be somthing big. ITS NOT JUST GRAPHICS HERE, they want you to integrate your shit. ( ie. PSP, digital camera, music, interwebs)

Xbox360 - Great online play, although you have to pay it cant be beat. Im not a halo fan but all of you cant seem to not talk about it... so if you like halo get this.

Wii - New style of playing, where you have to move and such to preform the actions on screen rather than mashing buttons. Has the abillity i think to download classic games which is pretty cool.

Wait untill the smoke and mirrors have been packed up to judge somthing that just came out v.s. somthing that has been out for a year already.

lol @ op for being a dumbass. "omg 360 1 year old it sux you gay if you vote lol"

xbox 360 right now is the strongest console out. It has a 3 core processor, there are only dual core's out right now in pcs. Video card? 48 UNIFIED* shaders, fuck i bet you dont even know what a shader is. That means you can have 24 pixel shaders and 24 vertex shaders. Producers want to make a game with insane poly counts? They can, all they do is use all of those 48 unified shaders for vertex calculations and achieve it. The only video card that is close to this is the ati x1900 with 48 shaders, but you will have to pay close to $500 for that alone. Also cant forget to mention the 10 MB embedded EDRAM, it basically gives you FSAA, antialiasing, and other effects at 0 cost to framerate. Next is shared 512MB GDR3 ram, it has the same principal as the shaders meaning programers can choose how much ram the game/system uses.

Now lets look at the ps3, 3.2ghz cell processor with 7 cell units which can calculate insane amounts of floating point values and thats about it, which are sadly almost useless in 3d rendering and games. The graphics processor only has something like 12 pixel shaders and 8 vertex? that number probaly is wrong but it was low. You can not get a ps3 unless you want to spend $900 on ebay, and if you get one it will probaly burn out on you (was at ebgames the other day and a ps3 died right infront of me). So when them chinks finally ship them ps3 units they will still cost more than the premium 360. Ony thing that the ps3 has over the 360 in my eyes is the blu ray, thats it.

fuck the wii, its gay. graphics are a generation behind and if im buying a console i wanna sit on my ass and enjoy it not swing my arms around like a fucking retard.

OK the "only" video card close to that is the ATI X1900?!?! Dude your like a year behind, google the nVidia 8800GTX, it has 128 unified shaders. The PS3 uses a G70 based GPU core which many know as the Geforce 7800GTX, 24 pixel pipelines 24 texturing units and 8 vertex pipelines.

The PS3 ALSO has 512MB of ram, 256 of GDDR3 for the GPU and 256MB of XDR ram. RSX can use the whole 512MB of ram if it needs to but the advanage goes to the PS3 cuz XDR is faster than GDDR. All of the instuctions for the 360 have to reside in the video ram and their is only so many clock cycles per second that it can do before frames get interrupted , not slowed down but interrupted. Stuff like AI, sound, geometry, physics, controller input, internet conection, OS and so much else reside there and get processed along with graphics in the same memory which is why the 360 has a vertical sync issues.

Floating point claculations are what make 3d rendering so your point that it's useless for gaming is retarded as well.

i was lanning this weekend and there ended up being 10 comps and 2 360's there. I played dead rising for a while, but i noticed that when killing 10 or more zombies the frams would go to around 15 and below ( where it starts to get really choppy ) i was very suprised to see this. Is the same thing happening on ps3 ?

You are obviously biased due to your Solid Snake sig(ps3)

I don't like the ps3 cuz its so expensive, so I'm getting a 360. it seems like more of a utilitarian console anyways - gonna use it mainly as a media center extender to stream 1080p vids from my pc to an hdtv in another room.

The PS3 ALSO has 512MB of ram
Lol no, it has 256

Lol no, it has 256

So I guess that you would mean that the video ram doesn't count? Ok then that would mean that the 360 has no ram at all then other than cache. They both have 512Mb of ram but they both use them differently. I think the ps3 has the memory advantage cuz of the XDR while the 360 has the GPU advantage. As much as I like the G70 based RSX, I still think that unified shaders are more efficient.

So I guess that you would mean that the video ram doesn't count?
Uh, yeah. That's correct. Do you add up your video ram and your system ram when telling somebody your PC specs?

of course!

AHAHAHHAHAAHAH

Yes but the reason xp doesnt read 4 gigs in a comp correctly is because it subtracts your vid card amount so it would read as 3.75 gigs or w/e depending on your vid card. I dont kno if they fixed this but it used to happen with i think sp1.

Then how can anyone say that the 360 has any ram at all? People say it has more ram but all of it's ram is GDDR3, so then why does it count there? I added them together cuz it can vary depending on how much the RSX uses. It's like comparing apples or oranges anyway, whatever i'm done arguing about it.

It's bad enough that people take gaming so seriously as it is, then people have to come and get raged at eachother over it.

You're all retards for argueing over nothing.
