Hey is it possible to Reinstall Windows XP without losing any of your information on your computer? I just got a legit XP and want to install it on my overly used unlegit computer. Yeh so I mean like install it and doesnt affect any other items on your computer.

 

 

Also Is their a crack to make your computer legit? for XP

 

cuz i want SP2 and it wont let me install it.. i need a geniune comp so yeh... any cracks?

If you have a legit key, just change they hacked key to a legit key.

 

 

It's not that the software is not legit, it's just that the key your using is a cracked version or a VLK.

 

 

Why don't you just use http://windizupdate.com to update a cracked or legit windows edition?>>???

there is an SP2 addon with crack somewhere on the interweb. look around

just install the legit copy into the unlegit windows directory. don't reformat. it is kind of a messy way to do it. it would be better to just back up everything and then reformat.

my copy of windows xp has sp2 on it already :D. its not that hard to just slipstream sp2 in your copy anyway

It's not a cracked version of XP, Microsoft only made ONE version, its the KEY that's cracked.

I agree, back it up on like another HDD or a pocket drive, if you just wanna save important stuff (songs, porn, etc.)

Not that this helps with initial problem, but there is a student edition of XP floating around torrent sites that allows for updates and the key never gets blacklisted.

 

But im not sure if its just the key or the actual copy of XP itself that keeps it legit but i use it and i get all updates with no problem.

 

And btw those validation keys or w/e get found out real quick i think. Isnt it just a registry key?

You can reinstall without having to format. Most (if not all) of the Windows folder will be overwritten but you won't lose anything else. Your programs will no longer work but the data will still be there.

That worked for me. Just have a virus scanner ready because it installs some suspicious stuff. Patch your Windows and get the malware from it off and you're good to go.
