No my friend, they are used on the dnb scene sinse it began and always will be. They are used at most raves over here, for all underground music, obviuosly your not from the uk ;)

Raves are not like clubs, they are a gathering of 1000+ people off there face on many substances, they start at 10pm and finish at 6am, dj sets are usually an hour.

..and after all Vinyl has better sound quality n takes more skill.

I know what a rave is....

And a place with under 1000 people.... isn't a club.. Its a fucking lounge.

How does vinyl take more skill tho? You queue up the record and drop it, just like a cd, but with vinyl you let it go, with cd you have to play it on point, and when your off beat with cd, you can hear it and better get quickj on that pitch bend, when your offbeat on vinyl, you can just fingernail it up or down quick time.....

If you wanna talk skill, i'd like to see anyone here flip doubles on cds, that takes skill.... Beat juggle with cds..... That would be true skill

As for 1000+ being a lounge...not many clubs over here can accomadate 1000-3000 peeps on 1 dance floor. Only warehouses and purpose bulit venues for raves. Maybe its different where u come from.

As for techno or whatever u mix, thats usually the place gays go to rave over here ..no offecnce, different places, different tastes..doing poppers and shizzle. All undergound music over here is mixed with vinyl and i/anyone would never dream of mixing with Cds. Vinyl is the way it should be + sounds more crisp.

Hardly any Djs here mix with CDs and most of the top DJS in there sounds use vinyl, maybe in techno or watver but not alot else.

The uk is host to alot of underground sounds the not alot of places uside Europe listen to.

Watever floats ur boat.

i used to mix shit up on my pc, then a guy names anthony(who went to jail for manslaughter rifk) taught me how to beatmatch and scratch on vyn` then i just couldnt be arsed ne more, oh and just for a laugh i point my club lasers HUGE U.Vs smoke machine and speakers bigger than a trucks wheels(im not fucking joking) etc out of my window at night, then go smoke some *ahem* out back and watch the show!
